Article Review Centred on Beowulf Beowulf and Teaching of Leadership, as a matter in this article, depicts a leadership regression and progression. This involves the pros and cons of leadership as an elementary subject in business operations and corporate world as a whole. Beowulf and leadership orientation article epically majors on the timely insights into leadership ethics and motivation, respect, trust, sacrifice and loyalty that necessitate a smooth leadership operation in the current leadership teaching and practices. In the explanation of servant leadership, this article postulates three purposeful studies, which include the explanation of ways under which the hero Beowulf fits into the Conger-Kanungo model of charismatic leadership. Secondly, the article indulges in enlightenment process of Beowulf’s character as a leader of his nation and warrior band, and lastly, the epic of Beowulf sightsees dramatically the risks related to overreliance on charismatic leaders. Through these investigations, an insightful meaning for researchers, practitioners of management as well as leadership instructions based on empirical emphasis on the educational value of articles of popular ways of lives (Culture). This paper reviews the pedagogical article of Beowulf and the teaching of leadership. Culture, as a people’s way of life, convolutedly confluence various aspects of leadership skills. All the cultural contradicts blends in the elements of the Beowulf story to the vanguard of popular leadership abilities appeal. On the lower level of elementary leadership, Beowulf presents three superb monsters that are culturally everywhere in movies, novels, plays, operas, online gaming communities and paperback novels among others. Among every corner appear vampires, mutants, zombies, Godzilla, dragons that represent the capitalists emerging from the seas. These creatures epistemologically arrive from the thin air. Through the Beowulf epic poem, leadership as a cultural entity is a diverse system hence a group of individuals should be liable inducted to be leaders (Loughman & Finley 158). This implies that charismatic leadership is not necessarily ideal for superb leadership rankings. Beowulf narrative on leadership obviously has staying power in comparison with other literary leadership journals. This is because this epic has larger number of legendary and mythical heroes’ popular accounts. Many of the heroic leaders display their wisdom about their struggles with supreme monster’s powers. In comparison to motion pictures, Beowulf is comparable to films such as The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter films and The Chronicles of Narnia. This is because all these films are populated with assorted monsters, elves, trolls and wizards. The reputation of Beowulf story is evident in its transparency and numerous translations, audio renditions and editions in the recent past. Historical and cultural background of Beowulf historical leadership orientation: The heroic epic was composed in both old English and German hence it deals with both the native English men and Germanic ancestors who existed around the sixth century. During the period of Beowulf composition, there was leadership squabble. Additionally, in the earlier periods there was Patches of tribal and sub-tribal leadership emergence where there was a revelation of an eventuality in relation to nation-states leadership emergence. Accordingly, leadership guidelines in social, political and economic worlds are traced back in the Europe. A major leadership relationship bond in the ancient period involved what is termed as gefolgschaft (comitatus in Latin) (Loughman & Finley 156). Gefolgschaft refers to a voluntary relationship based on loyalty. In leadership education, Gefolgschaft refers to a relationship based on voluntary loyalty, which obliges a total and submissive nature of man to counsel and military aid; the Lord to protect and generosity. An advanced leadership skills are based on the group membership, which is inclined towards a kinship within ethnic groups. Therefore, leadership aspect is overly tilted towards an overall charismatic superiority. Elementary leadership is based on trust. On the other hand, untrustworthy individuals may also become leaders by default. Leadership such as comitatus ones are ideally based primarily upon mutually intertwined trust and respect. The Thane vowed loyalty unconditionally to the Lord and in return, affectionate care was rewarded as well as incumbent materialistic rewards for his faithfulness and valour to the Lord. The good kings (Democratic leaders) may be referred to as the ring-givers or the dispenser of the rings. The poetic kennings to some extent overlooked into the goodness of leadership. In any leadership elements, especially the cultural ones, the leaders must legitimise their positions in relation to their subjects’ good will upon them to rule (Loughman & Finley 156). The bad leaders who were not generous, on the other hand, lost respect, and the military might thanes brought with them. Eloquence leadership, therefore, resolved the issue of bad leaderships through an ethically stable code of conduct, which should be followed to the later by the individual leaders. Leadership skills are therefore overly dependent on conformity and compliance by the individual’s leaders. In such cases, deviant leadership actions should be undertaken in order to pave a way for orthodoxy. In a broader scope the warrior bands in relation to administration had to be highly adaptive in relations to ways in which the members were ready and willing to pick up at an instant’s notice, alter course and sea winds change and opportunistically select on the proper target. This is in reference to organisational leadership division of labour and specialization. Organisational membership set goals and objectives involve entirely the sharing of the band’s values, norms, standards and behaviourism behaviours. Commitment to the organizational goals and groups’ cultural values in most cases in reference to Beowulf article nurtured through a full clan commitment to the set goals (Loughman & Finley 157). This would equally result into an overwhelmingly variable success rates. In simple terms, feedback in the bands was swift organisationally even though the warrior band to some extent consisted of cowardly warriors who would not endure long battles. Just as in an organization, not every individual employee is capable of doing everything right hence, motivation is necessary for the success. The leaders at the organisational vineyard top should, therefore, exercise the attribute of motivational leadership skill. Dissolution of unsuccessful groups in most organisational operations is often unpleasant hence; the repercussions are often devastating in turn. From an organizationally based view of leadership, in cases of high risks involved in the enterprise there should be a mutual benefit to the individual role players. The warriors wholly depended upon the others in times of needs for their lives, sense of honour as well as their livelihood. Courage, strength and cunningness are obviously put for a price tag for the warriors, and especially in a leader who maximises overly on the warrior traits and upon whom the band is overly trustful and dependent on. As the synopsis of Beowulf poem depicts, Beowulf epitomises leadership traits with strategically demanding rudiments hence an able leader should aim at successfully leading his people against all foes. Organizational leadership skills are faced with a lot of external force, which are comparable to the man-eating monster possessing the strength of 30 men (Loughman & Finley 157). In order to achieve the set objectives, just like the band of 15 Geatish warriors led by Beowulf, the organisational leadership should skilfully operationalize their strategies to success. In conclusion, Beowulf exemplifies charisma as an element of leadership. Charisma as an elementary leadership aspect in organisational studies is portrayed to be a transformational leadership. Charismatic and transformational leadership are intertwined business structural components as the ability to empower employees solely to exceed the normally set expectations and achievements to them by the management. Put differently, transformational leadership and charismatic leadership main practical difference is the centre of focus of charismatic leadership, which is on the leader’s behaviour while Transformational leadership focuses on the follower response. Lastly, both transformational leadership and charismatic leadership skills outstandingly work together for the benefit of the whole organisational structures. Works Cited Loughman, T and J Finley. EBP: Research Article Application

A literature review evaluating the safety and efficacy of PPI's amongst infants conducted by Higginbotham (2010) revealed that PPIs were ineffective in relieving symptoms associated with GERD amongst infants and there was insufficient evidence to conclusively elucidate the safety of these drugs (Higginbotham, 2010).... Similar findings were reported by Van der Pol (2011) who conducted a systemic review and concluded that PPIS were not superior to placebos in the alleviation of symptoms of GERD amongst infants and although the short term use of PPIs amongst infants was safe, there is need for further research to determine the long term safety profile of PPIs for the management of GERD in infants (Van der Pol, Smits, Wijk, Omari, Tabbers, & Benninga, 2011)....
