Community problem about animal shelter With reference the guidelines regarding community problems of animal shelter, I chose to highlight the tribulations cats as an animal community go through with regards to space. The community from which I come from has various challenges with regards understanding the correct room spacing and design of the cat’s house. This case has prompted various suffering to the animal fraternity as opposed to the typical scenario expected in the community. The human society has cats as one of the domesticated animals. Our society or homes in characterized by conditions where cats are restricted to small or tiny rooms where they seek shelter. Space is an essential part of the life of any living organisms. Animals require cats require as animal require sufficient space for numerous activities. Such activities include movement, stretching, removal of fecal matter, space free from parasites, well-aerated rooms, foods sections and many other components inside (Buckworth-Herne-Soame, 67). In our homes and societies, cats have been taken for granted for a long time. Any housing design for any animals should always have compartments. In most cases, typical or average cat house has limited or restrictive facilities for it. Such compartments may also include feeding section, sleeping section, sunbathing section and many other sections. Animal body anatomy demands crucial or threshold spacing for free movement and motion. At one time, body stretches and relaxes due to the nature of animal body tissues and skeletal framework. Cats, therefore, demand sufficient space especially in case of giving to kittens. Most homes have cats integrated into the normal human living system without designating an appropriate place for cats. Human house denies that cat several benefits that the animal should be exposed to. Such are the space for giving birth in case of pregnancy. Cats are mostly secretive animals whose abundance of activities are undertaken in secret. Such activities are mating, removal of stool and giving birth. Cats cannot undertake such activities in the presence of people community. Lack of enough space leaves the cat highly fatigued and unable to freely move around. Proper room design and space design for the cat allows for suitable nutritional meeting of the animal (De, Bairacli, 69). According to (Buckworth-Herne-Soame, 42), Cats similar other animals have defined Feeding spaces. Our homes and society have integrated cat feeding into the normal system. Good rearing practices for cats pushes for proper designing of cats rooms to cater for the feeding programs. A multiple group of cats disease may emanate to poor exposure of cats feed. Such exposures risk creating a surrounding for germs and other disease-causing organisms coming into contact with cat’s food. Proper domestication of cat hence demands feeding space free of germs, dust, and well-aerated region. According to (De, Bairacli, 67), cats sleeping room must have warmth and good aeration. Common problems in our society have cats sleeping with the human being. It is unwise to have cats sleeping around with the human being as it exposes the people to unhealthy conditions. Fur and dust cause allergy to certain people and therefore cats should have designated area for sleeping. Blankets and bed sheet conditions expose the cats to poor aeration regions that may prompt suffocation of the cats. Fur removed by the cat’s body may also prompt other conditions to people. High level of requirements comes in when rearing an orphaned kitten. These animals are normally very fragile and thus rearing them becomes a challenge and time consuming but with proper design of the housing such challenges are always reduced to a nutshell (Mills, 49). Conformable to (Mills, 45), lack of proper space and room design have led to the death of many cats. Most of our streets have cats moving or wandering due to lack of proper housing of space design. Cats are frequently exposed to pneumonia due to rains that hit them up at unexpected times. The society has not fully accepted the correct design of cat’s house as a pet and therefore always have a poor structure of shell for holding the cat up. Such structures do not protect the cats from security problems, shelter problems, and many other forms of let downs typical in this society. When cats are denied proper spacing as it is common in the contemporary society, the exact indication comes in when the cat loiter around the neighbors quarters or nearby streets that show help or aid from the societal neglect they perceive. Loitering exposes the cats to great risks as people react differently to animals. The society does not have any leniency or kind attitude towards animals. It is common for people to throw stones or other components to the animals in an indication of disregards of the animals. Warm ambiance is a crucial demand for any cat newborn since kittens do not react to the cold by trembling of shivering. Kittens have no capacity to detect and control their body temperature. The kitten obtains warmth from the mother in an enclosed surrounding and due to the large surface to body ratio kittens lose heat quickly to the environment. The design of the cat’s house also should have room for the kittens after birth. This is a common problem in the society. While the cats are able to live proper housing on their own, the birth of kitten always demands extreme demand for proper spacing of rooms for the animals. Lack of the crucial requirement for the mother cat’s house will ultimately lead to the death of the kittens especially in an absence of the cat. It is common for cats to be orphaned due to many causes in the society. In conclusion, the community problem about animals or specifically to the cats is a great issue that must always be placed into consideration. Recommended measurement should always be borrowed from animals’ husbandry specialist who has a clear recommendation for the animal house design. Proper aeration, warmth, soft bedding, feeding area and many other recommendations should always come first while designing the animal rooms. Integration of the cat living conditions into normal human living conditions should be shunned since cats have their outlined challenges. People equally react differently cats surrounding since fur, common parasites typical with cats and dust create inhibiting conditions for human beings.
