Family roles In my family, family roles are very important with everyone having a role to play to keep the family together. One role that stands out together is always being there for one another and always telling it as it is. This means that there is no level of pretence in our family. In case an individual family members does something wrong, we are always there to tell them and ensure that such issues do not repeat themselves in future. The second role that stands out in our family is the parental advising roles that our parents partake (Itnyre 23).
Unlike some parents, our parents are not shy to talk to us about various issues happening to us to make us better individuals in future. This is evident in the way my mother sits us down and talks to us about sex education insisting that there are various consequences of irresponsible sex education. Our family is also always working hard to ensure that we have the required basic resources. Our parents always go to work every day but always create time for the family. They are never too busy for the family roles.
In addition, on Sundays after church, we designate a family time out where we dine out as we reconnect and share our experiences for the week. Thus, our family roles differ from other families in that we always have time for one another. Despite the busy schedules, we always create family time. Moreover, our parents are not shy of advising us even on sex education. This makes our family very united since we even share our experiences and laugh about them.

...PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT Earlier than my encounter with this course, I had a very limited knowledge and discernment of Psychology. I had very prejudiced and inexperienced views as far as how it can be employed to ones daily life. Before, I have merely regarded Psychology as something largely pertaining to an attempt to understand mental disorders and why people are "crazy". Nevertheless, my thoughts and comprehension of Psychology has switched extensively. I can use the ideas of personality development in both my daily life and my future. Albeit, I do not have my own kids yet but I would love to have one someday. I realized that understanding the basic concepts of personality development will aid me to become a better parent in due...

...I also was anxious about this as it was new to me and psychology seemed like such a broad and multi-faceted Understanding that there are such diverse subjects within the field – such as neurobiology, statistics and social psychology - was initially hard for me to grasp as they are so different. However, I have come to really appreciate and conceptualize the subject for what it is and the reasons that it covers such broad areas. Psychology is the study of the mind, which in itself is a complicated and multi-dimensional thing which is open to several perspectives, interpretations and approaches in trying to make sense of it. I learned that many perspectives must be taken into account when looking at psychology and that many... also was anxious...

...I appreciate your posting and have total respect for your opinion. I, also, have the utmost and unending respect and appreciation for those Americanswho have served, and fought for, this country and those who do so today. However, in the list of wars that you chose as “just” in your posting I have to say that I disagree with your inclusion of the War of 1812. It does not seem to qualify entirely under the concept of the “Just War Theory.” Jus ad bellum speaks to the need for just cause in order for the war to be just. When America demanded that Britain revoke the order declaring the allowance of the interceptions and seizures of American ships, Britain initially did not and America declared war. (Nash, 2012) When Britain... appreciate your...

... Due Archaeology Discussion PART 150,000 years after the first appearance of Modern Humans they were already spreading and populating the majority of the Old World, including Europe and Asia. Modern archaeological and anthropological scholars argue that there are problems with the idea that all modern humanity began in Africa alone, simply, is not supported by modern evidence. The Replacement Model seems a more realistic explanation. The Replacement Model presents the idea that evolution of different hominid species occurred, both, in Africa, throughout Europe, and parts of Asia. The superior stock from Africa essentially dominated these other species. Supporters of the Replacement Model do not believe that interbreeding... Due Archaeology...

...Response: With respect to the theme about performance-based pay as compared to the traditional system, one is bound to hold a strong personal perspective. This is particularly true in my case since I was able to conduct an extensive reading on the subject and I do feel strongly about it in my workplace. I became partial to merit-based pay scheme since empirical evidences appear to reject major criticisms such as decreased intrinsic motivation and the way it is supposed to be not aligned with other culture and organizations with unionized employees (Heneman and Werner, 2005, p.53). However, having to learn with a group, one is able to participate in a multidimensional learning process. I have observed that I tend to revise my... With respect...

...Knowledge on Creating Market Competitive Pay Systems al Affiliation) Knowledge on Creating Market Competitive Pay SystemsFor a business to recruit and retain professionals that are well qualified, it is important to develop a compensation system that would match or surpass the competitors’ offers. As such, one of the most effective ways through which an organization can manage its bottom line is by properly rewarding the employees. The study has provided me with a clear insight on how to ensure that competitive employees are motivated towards remaining within an organization with directing focus towards discretionary benefits that meet the specific benefits of such valued employees (Courtois, et al., 2004). ...Reply I disagree with this post because it tends to describe the character in a manner that makes it seem evil, ugly, and disgusting without taking into account the failures of its creator. Frankenstein says, “For this I had deprived myself of rest and health… but now that I had finished, the beauty of my dream vanished, and breathless horror and disgust filled my heart” (Shelley, ch.5, pg.42). The statement shows that Frankenstein is disappointed with the results of his hard labor. He expected to create an adorable creature that would make him be recognized by the world as the father of science. Unfortunately, he does not succeed in creating a creature that would be accepted by mankind and live harmoniously with other...

...Purchasing and Procurement Reply: Purchasing and Procurement You have provided a precise definition of procurement and how it relates to purchasing. As you have put it, it encompasses more than just acquiring the needed items. It is a process that gives a firm the opportunity to form sound relationships with the suppliers. I, however, think that both private and public procurement plays a key role in the growth of the economy of any country. In developed countries, for example, government procurement for both goods and services accounts for about 15 percent of the GDP and 20 percent in the developing countries (Kashap 2004). In the same way, a company benefits a lot by undertaking procurement appropriately. Appropriate...

...Response As per the discussion the shipping industry can benefit by attaining economies of scale and scope. Lindstad accepts this proposition and provides further research on the benefits of economies of scale that can be attained by the shipping industry. Lindstad identified that the shipping industry can reduce its share of emission of greenhouse gasses if it attempts to attain economies of scale. Lindstad states that if the shipping industry increases the sizes of their vessels and transport more products at the same time, then the industry can reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses by 30% (Lindstad, 2012). This means that companies such as Wal-Mart can reduce their external cost and increase their goodwill if they choose... As per the...
