Jump for Jazz
December 14th 2014, will be a day of workshops, live performances and demonstrations.
Jump for Jazz is an annual music education event that is planned to be on Sunday 14th 2014 at the Delva Performance Hall, Colorado. Day time will entail free concurrent education sessions followed by a ticketed night concert.
This event mainly intends to educate the public, youth in particular, on different types of jazz and how each of them is created and performed. Deldo Club will publicize the event locally targeting mainly the youth population with all our efforts.
The Deldo Club organizing committee plans to use all the four theatres at the Delva Performance Hall, concurrent long educational hours during the day in which each type of jazz will be focused. There will be different sessions in which different club members will explain how different genre of jazz is created and executed.
The event is planned to start at 9am and end at mid night. Starting 8pm, a concert in the performance hall in which all the genres that were showcased during the daytime sessions will be performed practically. Whereas the educational sessions that will be offered during the day will be free, the night session commencing at 8pm will be a ticketed event. The Delva Performance Hall Management is teaming with us to ensure the performance areas meet our requirements.
All businesses or organizations that will make a donation, we will include their logo as well. Apart from focusing our efforts to local donations and fundraising, we will also target getting grants from the county administration and the ministry of arts at the county level.
