number Review of Persimmons and From Blossoms by Li-Young Lee The similarity between the movies outlines the essence of cultural diversity across the globe. The aesthetic presence of the idea of beauty in the world that exceeds what the people perceive in their definitions is outlined by the poet to reinforce the idea of cultural diversity. In the poem, Lee expresses ways of knowing and expressing what an individual understands. This shows how the world is more diverse in its culture than what people perceive in their daily lives.
Cultural diversity is evident when Lee describes a review of his experiences between two cultures stated as Chinese to American culture in the poem, persimmons. Also, he describes that three quarters of all information across the globe is perceived through the human eyes. Thus, individuals become diverse in their cultures through being open and expansive in prayer, spirit and imagination as they grow as stated in the poem, From blossoms (Lee, n.d.). The poem has taken several years since it is part of his memory of the past seven years that he was changing his culture from China to America.
That is why the author states the importance of maintaining values from his initial heritage as he tried to adopt the new culture. The poet remembers the painful experience when he was disciplined by the sixth-grade teacher for not understanding the comparison between persimmon and precision. The italics are used to outline important words and phrases in the poem. It has been used by Lee to expound on the cultural diversity across the globe. Work CitedLee, L. From Blossoms.
