Inserts His/her Inserts Inserts Grade (23, 12, Response to On Photography The book d‘On Photography’ talks about photography is a beautiful way and informs the audience regarding how photography has impacted the world around us and has changed the way we look at things. It is true that photographs serve very important purpose in lives and that is to remind us of our experiences. They are a good way to keep good moments in our memory. Photographs are evidence of reality as they inform people regarding experiences which they do not witness with their own eyes.

Photographs also speak to us in a very distinct way that other mediums fail to capture. Their physical nature is substantive and therefore they hold more value to people than other mediums of expression.Another beauty of photograph is that it is always biased. It is never neutral because it is taken by a human being with an angle which he or she chooses. A photograph therefore speaks to the audience in the way the photographer wants. This is, according to me, the best characteristic of photography.

The speaking power it has makes it a very beautiful medium of expression of ideas. In my opinion, the author has done a wonderful job explaining the power of photography, and the way it captures the hearts and minds of people. The value of photograph will always be great because of its personal and substantive nature. Works Cited PageSontag, Susan. On Photography. New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2011. Print
