Deida, in his book, ‘The way of the superior man,’ notes that men positively convert challenges into growth. A person with a positive attitude particularly identifies a challenge with the notion that the challenge can be solved. Such individual therefore explores avenues into generating solutions to challenges a move that identifies challenges as an avenue towards growth (Emmerling, Ghanwal and Mandal, p. 42).

While the bird faces a challenge of loss of freedom, its condition prompts it to sing in an attempt to find help out of the cage.
