What will happen if the temperature of the world increases? Global warming will occur. Global Warming is prevalent on our Earth even today. It is causing deaths of thousands of animals each year, glaciers are melting and the pollutants are causing diseases such as asthma and lung cancer, etc. The destruction of ozone layer is continuously taking place by our activities, the use of natural resources by us and also by emissions of harmful gases in the atmosphere.
At first, we will look into the sources of air pollution inside our homes. We, as human beings are a major constituent of creating air pollution. In our offices, schools, and homes, we make use of certain products and perform activities which are the reason for air pollution. Such activities are known as anthropogenic sources of air pollution. These activities include cooking and smoking. Other sources comprise of Boilers in which we boil water or other liquids at our homes, steam generators as they create smog when we start them for electricity purposes. Also piston engines, furnace, and gas turbines create pollution in the air1. Also, industrial plants set up by humans, power plants and vehicles which have internal combustion engines generate VOCs, nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and their particulates. In most big cities and urban areas of the world, cars are the primary source of these air pollutants such as Los Angeles and Mexico City2. Farmers burning wastes from crops create carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other particulates. Other human activities such as leaky refrigerators, aerosol sprays, perfumes and fumes from varnish, paint, and other solvents are the main factors in increasing air pollution.
Natural sources, also known as biogenic sources, are also a cause for air pollution but are not as harmful as the human sources. The quality of air is destroyed or worsened by natural processes such as volcano eruptions which produce chlorine, sulfur,

The paper tells that air pollution has been troublesome to human health since the beginning of time and now it has reached serious proportions with the dawn of industrialization. The main constituent of photochemical pollution is O3 and this troublesome pollutant has now reached unhealthful levels in cities throughout the United States and the industrialized world.
Ozone acts as shield against the ultra violet rays of the sun and protects all forms of life from direct exposure to such rays. Air pollution is the major cause of depletion of ozone layer in the atmosphere. Major type of air pollution is known as “smog”.
Pollution Pollution is caused when air, water or soil gets contaminated by discharge of harmful substances. Pollution causes imbalance in the ecosystem by causing harm and discomfort to living organisms. Pollution can be prevented if resources like raw materials, water and energy are utilized in proper way and harmful materials are substituted by materials which are less hazardous (“What is Pollution Prevention”, n.d.).
Since air pollution has serious effects to the human health as well as other living organisms, there have been increasing concerns on how to prevent it or at least mitigate its effects in the world (Liu 11). National governments, international organizations, and individuals have developed policies and approaches of addressing the challenge of environmental degradation, which air pollution is a main contributory factor (Agarwal 17).
Outdoor and indoor sources of air pollution have contributed to increases in impurities in the normal air concentration with trends promising more danger in the future. The health analysts have already burst in an outcry against the danger of air pollution and the need to fight against this kind of pollution.
There are different sources of air pollution and all of them can create bad effects on health of all living things. Though it is a fact that there has been an improvement in air quality in the last 20 years, which is the outcome of many steps being taken by different organizations and authorities, but the fact remains that there is lot more to do.
The author of the essay highlights some of the sources of air pollution and provides means of regulating them. Most of the sources of air pollution arise from technological and industrial advancement made by humans. The research also reveals that air pollution is indeed a major problem in many regions of the world.
The combustion engines of most automobiles utilize fossil fuels, which produced greenhouse gases upon releasing energy. These greenhouse gases accumulate at a certain zone in the higher atmosphere and trap sunlight received by the earth. This phenomenon of increased temperature is called Global Warming.
Research had previously failed to establish the cause-effect relationship between the health of children in London and air pollution hence this research aims at fulfilling. The principal methods outlined in this research proposal include the use of secondary data
