However, with the continued research and development (R&D) headed by scientists stationed mainly in Oregon and Newcastle, there were discoveries made that uncovered the biotechnology’s ability to facilitate more than just medical corrections. These ‘other’ application areas that human genetic enhancement promised are the center of ethical and scientific wars that form a significant battleground for the US policy makers in making decisions regarding human genetic enhancement.
