These types of aids might be revenue, clothes, foods and medicines. These aids are mainly sent so as to help the suffering individual to fulfil their basic needs like clothes, foods and medicines. As these aids mainly approach from the damaged places from outside countries so these are also recognised as foreign aids or overseas aid (Clifford & Little, 2005). Foreign or international aids play a very imperative role in the overall development of a country unless it gets utilized properly. International aid is mainly required in case of scarcity of economic resources or for any other natural restraint, when a country needs sufficient amount of foreign funds in the style of foreign aids to regain its position. Generally foreign or international aid is presented to reduce the deficit budgets, trade promotions along with strategic considerations. Other than this, Foreign or international aids are also offered in the form of economic, technical or military relief by one nation to another for the purpose of rehabilitation and support to make a real life difference. Not only this, foreign aids are also offered so as to present the opportunity to attain basic educational facilities to the poor children as well (Little & Clifford, 2005). Due to such reasons, it is highly admired by the individual all round the world. There are mainly two types of aids like emergency and developmental aids. Emergency aids are those presented by varied nations to offer relief to the individual ruined due to natural calamity such as fire, drought, flood, sudden break out of epidemic and breaking of large boulders and many others. Apart from this, aids are also offered in case of developmental purposes as well. When a developmental country is trying to become developed, then varied types of aids are also offered to help the suffering individual of those countries (Little & Clifford, 2005). These aids help in improving the condition and status of the individual in the developing countries and it is highly preferred by all of them. Discussion The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is one of the well-known international reliefs providing organization positioned in New York of USA. It was established in the year 1946 in the month of December. It is established in order to offer emergency relief and developmental support to the suffered families. It also works for the betterment of the poor and deprived families and mothers so as to improve their living conditions and economic standards. Therefore, these organizations are developed in order to improve and protect the families below poverty line and also to protect the rights of the small children as well. Almost 16 million individual became victimised due to the devastating drought that broke in Africa (UNICEF UK, n.d.). In 18th April, in the year 2000, a massive drought broke out in the eastern and southern parts of Africa in which numerous families and children became homeless and almost ruined (UNICEF UK, n.d.). At that time, in order to help those ruined families, UNICEF came forward. It offered varied types of reliefs such as money, clothes, food, medicines and safe drinking water facilities to those families and individual. Other than this, it also appealed for proper medicinal treatment for the children suffering varied types of trouble-some diseases (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Therefore, in order to treat these suffered individuals, UNICEF appealed for $1.7 million from both government and private donors. But they received only $ 500,000 to fulfil the basic needs like water, medicines, food, clothes and others. This helped in saving the lives of numerous suffered and diseased individual and children to get a good life and a better economic condition as well (Institute Of Developmental Studies, 2011). Thus, it enhanced the image and reputation of UNICEF in the entire world among many other organizations (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Hence, after knowing about the works performed by these organizations, its significance and craze enhanced within the minds of the general individual in the entire world. UNICEF is one of the world popular organizations working for the betterment of the poor and insolvent families. Being positioned in New York, its executives travel from one place to another to help the suffered individual in the entire world (UNICEF UK, n.d.). UNICEF offers international aids for varied types of issues as mentioned below: Poverty Issues- UNICEF tries to remove the curse of the world entirely so as to improve the living conditions of the individual. It desires to present a world of hope and happiness to the individual living their life below the poverty line. Apart from this, UNICEF also tries to present them their basic requirements which are almost miles and miles away from them. So, presenting those facilities, UNICEF desires a healthy and tension life for those families (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Child Right- UNICEF also works for the attainment of the rights of the children so that they might live freely and generously. All sorts of basic rights such as food, clothes, safe drinking water, schooling facilities, medicines and many others are at proper time and place so as to attain the benefits from those facilities (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Immunisation- UNICEF also works for the immunisation facilities of the small children in the poor regions of the world. By doing so, the impact of varied types of life-risking diseases might be reduced to a significant extent such as Polio. Climatic disaster- The members of UNICEF are always ready to offer aids for the suffered individual and families in a natural calamity such as fire, drought, flood and many others. It desires to offer, food, clothes, medicines, water and money as well to these helpless families (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Water and Sanitation- UNICEF also works for the supply of safe water and sanitation facilities to all the families in the entire world. As it is one of their basic right and also an essential requirement to live a life (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Conflicts- UNICEF also works to offer freedom and relief to the individual and families suppressed in those situations. Apart from this, the members of UNICEF also try to transfer the victims of the wars and conflicts from one place to another in order to attain freedom and safety (UNICEF UK, n.d.). HIV and Aids- UNICEF also work to save the individual from the negative impacts of such deadly diseases. The child or the adult might even dry due to lack of proper treatment facilities. Therefore, UNICEF works in order to reduce the ratio of deaths by saving the lives from such toxic disorders (UNICEF UK, n.d.). Child protection- UNICEF also works for protecting the children of the poor families with all types of requirements such as food, shelter, education, clothes and many others. They also save the poor children from violence, discriminations, sexual and economic exploitations and others (UNICEF UK, n.d.).Therefore, UNICEF works to reduce the impacts of all these issues so as to improve the economic condition of the families and individual of the globe. Numerous famous economists and research scholars presented varied types of opinions and views regarding the impact of foreign or international aid to host country from a donor country for the betterment of both macro and micro policies. According to Krueger (1979) and Lancaster (2008) described that foreign or international aid plays a very vital role mainly at the micro levels policies of the host countries. But at macro level, its importance is quite ambiguous in nature. Moreover, Foreign or International aid also plays a very important role in the development of a country and thus its effectiveness is described below: According to Feder (1978) foreign loans or international aids and assistances acts as technique to save the lives of the poor families, below the poverty line. It also supplements domestic savings and helps in fulfilling the resources gaps as well. So, it is extremely admired by the individual of all underdeveloped countries (Feder, 1978). Foreign or international aid also plays a pivotal role to maintain both internal and external balance in the economic condition of the country. So as to, remain popular and competitive among other neighbouring nations in the world (Lancaster, 2008). Foreign or international aid also tries to tackle the extreme poverty conditions on ethical grounds, by attaining assistances from donor or rich countries. International committees such as UNICEF might also get jolted into action through public responses to humanitarian emergencies, highlighted through the eyes of global media’s (Krueger, 1979). Krueger (1979) also highlighted the importance of international aid for the improvement of productivity of numerous economic sectors resulting in well-being of the nation. Foreign or international aid might prove effective in rebuilding the undeveloped countries with the assistance of rich and developed countries (UNICEF UK, n.d.). The foreign assistances also help in the establishment of industrialization and betterment of the under-developed countries. Moreover, the flow of technical knowledge also helps in improving the quantity and quality of the manufactured goods thereby enhancing its rate of sale and revenue of the country (UNICEF UK, n.d.). The foreign assistances also support in removing poverty and basic human needs thereby improving the standards of living to a certain extent (Feder, 1978). Foreign aid helps in enhancing the marginal productivity of labour in the recipient country. The real wages of the workers are also increased by the initiation of foreign aids. So, it is extremely importance and always welcomed within a country (Feder, 1978). Foreign or international aid enhances the growth of domestic enterprises due to the introduction of new technology, new machinery and efficient labours (Lancaster, 2008). Foreign aid plays very important role in the reduction of socio-economic problems and good governance and qualitative economic policies reduce the chances of poverty, economic dependency, political exploitation, and scarcity of the resources (UNICEF UK, n.d.). So, these aids are always welcomed by the undeveloped and developing countries of the world (Lancaster, 2008). Conclusion Foreign or international aids also prove effective in developing a good trade relationship among the donor and host country resulting in amplification of its economic and industrial condition. As a result, the image and reputation of the county enhances to a significant extent among other nations (Feder, 1978). Along with this, the import and export relationships also gets enhanced leading to transfer of varied types of essential and basic products from one country to another thereby improving its revenue and profit margin. Due to which, development of numerous industries also takes place thereby amplifying the career opportunities of varied experienced individual in various sectors (Krueger, 1979). This acts as a blessing thereby amplifying the living standard and economic condition of the individual residing in these underdeveloped countries. Apart from this, it also helps in improving the gross domestic product (GDP) and net domestic product (NDP) of the country, which is extremely essential for prospect and over-all development of the country in long run. Therefore, from these above mentioned facts, the importance of foreign or international aids might be analysed and evaluated in a clear way (Krueger, 1979). Other than this, these aids also help in diplomatic operations of the countries to improve its national security. Thus, it protects the country from varied types of chances of conflicts and wars declarations from the neighbouring nations. So, it helps to spend a safe and secured life without any sort of tensions (Krueger, 1979). So, foreign or international aids are extremely essential for the development and improvement of any country irrespective of varied aspects (Feder, 1978). Hence, it might be stated that international aids acts as a tool used for the improvement and development of varied industries and projects. Along with this, improvement of the living conditions and well-being of the children also takes place by presenting the basic needs and poverty condition (Lancaster, 2008).
