The development of vending machines presented retailers with an opportunity to sell their assorted products at more convenient locations using branded vending machines, and according to Salyers, this has further provided retailers with an opportunity to market themselves in specific target markets (28-29). Because of this business interest, corporations have become more involved in the affairs of schools particularly because of their vending machine services, and this presents both negative and positive impact in public schools.
