Within the proposed building construction site next to Dylan Thomas Centre, even though many expected spectators and those to use the facilities will be using boats, there is a need to include a vehicles’ parking bay within the premises. Among the options in consideration is introducing a retaining wall within the compound just after the main entrance gates to act as parking slots for those commuting using personal cars. The retaining walls are expected to create a split parking level with a designated layout meant to ensure code compliance.

Simultaneously, it reduces the extent of the cut and fills and the height of those retaining wall structures all around the perimeter of the building site (Flemming and Woodbury 2005).One of the parking bays will be expected to be next to the theatre and art gallery hall has it ingresses and egresses from the E Burrows Road along the Fabian way adjacent to the Fabians Way. The other parking bay will be created next to the cinema hall within the same compound along the E Burrows Road. Like the commuters who will be using motor vehicles, most people who intend to use the facilities will be using speed boats.

Therefore, plans are on course and put up some reinforced earth retaining walls along the Swansea Bay to act as docks for the many boats expected in the region. Neath Portal Talbot and Swansea City's councils have already given the consent to construct the retaining walls along the River Tawe. According to Flemming and Woodbury (2005), the approximation of the Superimposed Dead Load (SDL) in the construction project may not be determined at this stage; this can only be possible during the scheme design construction phase of the project especially when in possession of the proposed timber floor build-ups as designed by the team of architects.

Based on the available Engineering Structural Drawings of the previous similar construction projects, I will advise that the weight of the proposed finishes, especially for the suspended portions of the building structures, will be similar to those I had put in my previous projects.
