This information is crucial for the assessor to put the evidence into perspective.

The file should also contain documentation of the assessment centre and awarding organization (Proctor, 2002). Moreover, the folder should also contain evidence of capability and progress and the areas entailed in the evidence will involve; experience, knowledge and accomplishment, present activities and future plans and needs (Allan, 1997).ORGANIZATION OF THE PORTFOLIOOwing to the fact that the portfolio provides the evidence of collected ideas and information for easy interpretation, its organization and presentation should be done in such a way that it is easy to read and interpret by the assessor (Proctor, 2002).

Therefore, the content of the portfolio should contain; structure of the organization, a brief summary of the work description of the organization or department within the organization, the job description of the candidate and his or her personal profile as contained in the resume or curriculum vitae. This is especially significant when it contains achievements and accomplishments of the candidate up to the present date, present aims and objectives and prospect plans for the growth of the organization (Luger, 2002).

A well-organized portfolio should also have cross-referencing outlines, which connect the evidence with the necessities within every unit (Allan, 1997). It should also contain a file containing records of evidence, the evidence itself and every item being assigned a number which a short description of where and how it is being operated. There should also be a record in form of a list containing the other parties, who have contributed in one way or the other in providing the candidates with the evidence.

Lastly, the document should have a declaration statement stating that the provided information of evidence is original, valid and has been compiled by the said candidate (Proctor, 2002).
