Introduction This paper highlights the portfolio reflection for personality course and highlights the different learning’s, challenges, gains and outcome which was achieved. The portfolio is divided into three parts where the first part focuses on individual learning experiences which will look to concentrate on areas like personal learning goals, the learning style and the different changes which were ensured. This is followed secondly by the team experiences which will discuss aspects like team membership, team leadership and the changes which were witnessed after the completion of the course. Finally the paper will discuss the course experience by the approach towards proactive learning, professional and ethical conduct and finally the different changes which need to be ensured in the future. Individual Learning Experiences The course was a personal learning phase as it helped to bring about a complete change in my behaviour as I understood the importance personality has. Before the beginning of the course I had a misconception that personality relates on only oneself but while working I came to realize that it engulfs everything associated with me and my surroundings and any change in any area has an impact on the manner I react. I also understood the importance of personality and the impact it can has on performance as a charming and appealing personality gets reflected on the work and also helps to ensure that the work can be carried out by other people on my behalf. This caught my imagination as my personality shaped the manner in which others perform and reflects on the overall manner in which different activities are carried out. The learning style which was used was both theoretical and practical thereby allowing the opportunity to use the different learning in the real environment. This was of immense help as it helped to apply the different concepts, strategies and process while working and helped to multiply productivity (Carlopio and Andrewartha, 2008). The system enabled to check the manner in which personality shapes the manner in which a person perform and the role it has on shaping the overall performance. I also realized the importance of personality while working in groups because the influence it has on other peers gets reflected in the work and outcome. The overall phenomenon and changes as a result is very string and brings about a complete change in the manner different decisions are taken. In the future I would like to use the different learning’s while working in a business environment. I would look at using personality in a different manner and through the process would look at accomplishing different tasks. Further, in the future I would like to have a different perception and mindset towards personality and the manner it helps to achieve different things so that I am able to use it and completely change the outlook and achieve bigger results. Team Experiences The process also helped to realize the importance of team membership and working together as a team. The role of team membership was understood as it is usually witnessed that personality of people clashes with one another which thereby hinders the progress of the entire team and all members within the team has to suffer. This will help me to ensure that I use my personality in a positive manner and not negative manner. Through my personality I will look at creating a positive vibe among my team members so that all people stay together and pursue a common goal by having no differences among each other. The process of learning also showed the importance of team membership as it helps to control the different activities which are undertaken by the team and directs them to work on different facets during the process. I realized that leadership is an important aspect while working in team and different phases of the project results in different leaders which is totally dependent on the personality traits which the person denotes. This helped me to realize that even if a team has a leader several leaders are expected to crop up during the process of carrying out the work and will be determined by the personality traits which the person reflects (McShane, Olekalns and Travaglione, 2010). This is an aspect which will help me in the future as I realize that while working I need to have a positive approach which should get reflected in the personality and should be able to influence people so that different work can be accomplished in the best possible manner. The different learning’s which the process has helped me to garner and learn will help to bring about a complete change in the outlook of varying out different activities. This will help me to use my personality in a positive manner and bring changes in the manner people think and act. Through my personality and the different traits which I can demonstrate through it I will be able to influence people and while working in a team act as a leader at different time and always form part of the team so that best possible results can be achieved. This will act as a guide while working in a team and will help me to always check and make changes so that personality creates a positive impact and is able to help in the process. Course Experiences The overall phenomenon and learning from the course was phenomenal as it brought about a complete change in my outlook and helped to create an approach through which effectiveness was gained. The course will help me to choose a profession which matches my personality which will result in achieving positive results through the achievement of the goals in the future. The self directed and proactive learning approach which was used will also help me in the future as the same approach will help me in my professional life to learn other important things and implement those. This will have a bearing on the outcome and will create a positive impact on my personality and performance. Further, another important dimension was the fact that the course was carried out on ethical and professional grounds which provides a lot many things to learn. It clearly teaches that even in the professional lives we need to remain ethical and carry out our roles in the most professional manner (Kolb and Kolb, 2005). This highlights that taking decisions which are guided towards being ethical helps to develop one’s personality and even influences people. This helps to improve the image of the person and the same gets reflected on the personality as the person is able to carry out different roles in the most effective and ethical manner. The different learning and changes which I have garnered from the course will thereby help me in the future as it will provide me with an opportunity to use those to shape my personality. This will have a positive impact will bring about a complete change in my behaviour and will thereby improve my personality to carry out different activities in the most professional manner. Conclusion Thus, the overall learning is quite evident in all directions as the personal learning, team experience and course experience has brought about a change in the outlook and improved my understanding of personality in different conditions. This will help me in my professional life and will bring about a complete change in which I act thereby ensuring that the overall impact of personality is seen in different directions. This will alter my process of thinking and will ensure that through the use of personality I am able to achieve my personal goals in a professional and ethical manner.
