People have different opinions about wearing school uniform and the perfect look. Some suggest that wearing casual clothes makes students more comfortable, creating a conducive studying environment. However, I prefer the uniform wear because of various reasons which will inform my wearing school uniforms essay:

  • School uniform makes learners feel equal, making the environment look less competitive for students. It is easy wearing a school uniform than casual wear for various reasons. When students are given a chance to wear whatever they desire, they are going to adorn differently styled clothes creating a big distinction
  • Uniform identifies students and their school, which is good for proper discipline
  • Wearing matching clothes is a great tradition. Creating great meaning for students and the school.

If you are wondering what is best for students attending school, then uniform wear should be your first choice. It is the perfect look. College life is all about studying and less about clothes, and that is why wearing uniforms is a great idea.

Why Schools Adopt a Uniform Wearing Culture?

Students are more liable to peer pressure than any other age group, and when you create inequality by allowing them to wear casual clothes, you are destroying others more than you can imagine. Every learning institution ought to require their student to wear uniforms to stay away from this problem. Secondly, uniforms are essential because it makes them feel like they have an identity.

For instance, if a student does well outside the learning institution’s premises like helping an older person or returning something they were stolen, people will think of the learning institution’s valuable teachings. Therefore, the learning institution’s reputation will be spread out, which is beneficial. On the other hand, if students do terrible things and are in uniform wear, they tarnish their learning institution’s name. Also, they would be easily identifiable, and the schools will find suitable ways of punishing them because they are not casual wear.

Traditions build schools, and one of the biggest conventions in schools is their uniform. Schools have been using uniform for a very long time, and many have maintained the tradition until today. Wearing a uniform is mostly enshrined in a learning institution’s culture, and eliminating it would strip something substantial from their practices. Also, if a learning institution has a nice uniform, students feel smart and pretty. Therefore, female and male students look stronger and bolder. Since uniforms are a learning institution’s identity, students feel closer to the learning center.

Without a doubt, adorning matching clothes is a great initiative, better than allowing students to wear casual clothes. The practice is not only convenient but essential to the learning institution and students. Uniforms are one of the oldest traditions in most schools, and losing such a strong culture would not go well with a learning institution’s identity. Even though some individuals do not prefer students to wear a uniform and would like casual clothes, it is better if they wear them and feel proud.
