Integrated Learning Program - Assignment Example

My motivation is of curbing human activities like deforestation that lead to the increase in global warming activities. This is due to less trees absorbing carbon dioxide from the environment through photosynthesis. This has given me the interest and great love of investigating with my students this rising issue. For the programme to be engaging, interesting, educative and informative, I aim at using all available resources, like ICT Technology, which the students are familiar with in today’s changing world.

An integrated learning program is used by many teachers because it transcends beyond the boundaries of traditional subjects. By using integrated processes and skills, teachers and students are able to understand the content of their subject. In other words, this program has enabled students to make a connection between their different learning area outcomes by developing processes, content, and skills in their comprehensive curriculum. The learning experiences and activities help students understand, build, and gain a sense of purpose with regard to their daily activities, which makes them make logic of world happenings. Teachers also, get encouraged to effectively utilize strategies of teaching and learning in enhancing students’ learning outcomes and performance. Lastly, it gives students the allowance of demonstrating their skills, knowledge, and abilities in diverse frameworks.

My values help in building on the aforementioned knowledge and achievement of numerous learning area outcomes. This has enabled me to manage the curriculum by bringing similar ideas together and dedicating time to each learning area allocated to me. This curriculum has enabled teachers to recognize the presence of dynamic and divergent models of teaching students by encouraging them to be independent, resourceful, and learners who adapt to their learning environments. I have been able to cater to all students considering their varied interests, skills, abilities, and motivational techniques to be applied. This curriculum has given students a chance to use collaborative projects in order to negotiate diverse spheres of the public. They also get to use their trans-disciplinary skills in solving problems, conceptualizing as they work in teams, analyze and defining solutions and issues of the raised topics. Students get time to plan and propose creative solutions while working as a group and implementing the projects.
