Running heading: Literacy planning using texts Literacy planning using texts Name 15th May, 2010 The group learners The learners have use of the speech as a social concept hence they are not more of the egocentric. There are also instance of the children use of the speech as an egocentric. The learners have the aspects of concentrating on one object while neglecting the rest of the objects indicated. The concepts which the learners have developed are fixed and it’s so rare for them to change. There is need for them to be challenged with various concepts which are easily changed or reversed so as to increase their learning abilities. The learners also have various needs which need to be critically used in teaching them. The learners are of the points of the magical concepts which are their main attraction. The magical believe of the children is very important to be capitalized on in their development of language. The learners have great concept of believing in the magic other than having the concept of reality. The behaviors of the children are not firm and are not based on the best behavioral principles. The children also do not have the various instructions of the game which is in use. It’s not developed hence they are only subjected to the dos and don’ts in the environment. These are the rules which have been set and are at the center of the authority in place. The children also have demonstrated the cognitive understanding and having organized thoughts. They need to be enhanced in the development of their thinking and the collective responsibility in the performance and actions (Hoff, 2005). They are very emotional hence serious and in-depth understanding of their needs is the main subject in planning and passing the knowledge to them. There is need also to have the involvement of the adults who will be of great help in conferring more information to the children to understand all the language developments and use of the language. The educational officers will play a role in instilling the expected code of behavior of the students in the class and in their normal way of relating and expressing themselves so as to control how they perceive the learnt concepts and should relates to them appropriately. Suitable text The text which will be used is the ‘Possum Magic Mem Fox’ illustrated by Julie Vivas. This will capture the various images to be used to show the learners what has been indicated and also to be able to show them the best abilities which they can get both in cognitive aspects and on behavioral changes. The images which have been indicated here will be of great importance to the learners so as to build their understandings of the images. The text is the best ones for them as it’s aimed at changing their behavior and increasing their learning abilities. The text also is used to capture the learners’ abilities to identify the contents of the images by naming. This also will be used to enhance the learners’ abilities on how to write. This will be done in a way which will enable the students to see, read and write all that they have seen. The language development is very important aspect which is being targeted to be developed in the learners’ abilities. The learners will be made to read all what has been written in the images. The learners also will be required to write what ever they have seen on the images and be able to get all the concepts as to the visual and written images. The learners will be able to get all the concepts which are very important on their development both on the cognitive and behavioral points of learning. The learners’ abilities will be tested so as to know their wide knowledge of the various and famous books in the country. The book is the most famous one in the country and it has always been used by the learners to develop their thinking and increase their creativity. The learners through the use of the book will be able to get to know the details which are very important on the individual developments and the way they should be relating to one another (Brice & Brice, 2008). Importance of the texts The text is very useful to the learners as it will enable them develop their language. The learners will be able to learn how to acquire the language and enhance it. This is a very useful concept as the images shown in the text are quite important in increasing the learners’ abilities to be well and informed in the way to learn the language. The learning of the language is as per the acknowledgement of the behaviorist theory of language acquisition. The learners are able to develop the concepts of language by identifying the images and naming the acts in the image. The learners’ language development will be greatly enhanced as they will be able to get more of the language in images form and reading them, hence it is very important for them to be well developed. The Nativists also believes that the language development is very important and it’s inborn. This simply tell that the various different groups of learners are acquiring the language differently which is very important. The various types of the contents of the text enable the learners to be in a position of counterchecking the details of the images and what need to be compared with. The learners are in a position of getting all the information within the text and be able to explore them by being creative in the identifications of the images and naming them. The written part of the learning also will be enhanced through the learners’ abilities of identifying the contents of the texts and writing down what has been indicated. The learners will be assisted to make proper writings about the texts so as to develop relevant information. Social interractionists have enabled us know that the language development is very important since the development of the language depends on the surroundings of the learner and their biological aspects. This is very important hence the learners are able to learn from one another by observation and listening to what others have said. This will prompts them to respond just like the others have done and be able to learn and enhance their cognitive language development Its very important for the students to learn more of the images by sharing the knowledge where each and every student will be given time to demonstrate what they have learnt in class. The students are the best placed on the best learning techniques when they listen to one another and be able also to be given the chance to demonstrate what they have in them. This will build the learners confidences hence they will be able to develop their language appropriately. The mental capacities are an aspect which determines the learning abilities of the children. This includes the ability of the child to be having a mental capacity which is sound and will enhance the child development This is a very useful aspect which has enabled many children with high IQ be exposed to more learning materials at the early age so as to make them be proactive enough in their development. The children with mental problems will not be able to develop their language appropriately since their mental status is the main features which will enable them have the language development not impaired. Strategy The strategy which will be used is the one which allows the learners have accessed to the various materials in class which they can read, on their own and allowing the class to be as noisy as possible. This will enhance the students’ abilities to read and interpret the various images in the texts given. The texts also given have various images and writings of the environment and what goes on in it. The learners will be able to relate the contents in the text with the environment. This strategy also enables the learners to participate actively on the learning and reading in the classroom besides the abilities to make necessary requirements on the behavioral aspect. The strategy also will enable the learners to read and be able to tell whatever they have read off head. The students are the best example in the determination of the best use of the words and the behavioral concepts without any misinterpretation. The learners will have to understand first the meaning of the words before using them. This is very important as they will be able to talk about what they have internalized. Being the speech mentor, the learners will have to repeat all what have been said in the classroom word by word. This will be done by either have one learner at a time and by involving all the learners. This will be very useful to them in the improvement of the participation and languages development. The speech development is very necessary to them over the pronunciation of the words and letters. This strategy will enhance their improved skill of the pronunciation of the words appropriately. The children will be better place in this context to have their cognitive development be of great importance in their developments. The children also will be able to make their comments on the pictures which they have seen in the images which will be of great importance to them in the association and linking of events and images. Through this strategy the learners will be able to learn how to arrange the words in the context as per the expectations. The students’ abilities are that they will be increased over time as they continue to increase their participation on the learning process. The use syntax will be developed over a short period of time. There should also be use of language game which will increase the language development of the children so as to be in a position to use the letters appropriately (Russel, 2007).
