PEDAGOGICAL CAPACITY of primary school Introduction I made a pedagogical inspection over a primary school named Ashtree Primary School and Nursery. Being in UK this school was providing education in the state sector and thus is a primary school (Primary school. Encyclopædia Britannica)1. However I found lots of modifications that are to be done here for better pedagogical perspectives. It is true that every inch of it was well knitted to give a stronger perspective to the students for future. I have still discovered that all the kids in this school are need to learn every aspect of life with a very easy procedure of making selection (G. F. Hoban, 2002)2. You can keep on making selection of your choice and can learn as per your own idea. There should not be any hard and fast rule regarding the choice of learning. About Ashtree Primary School and Nursery The school undoubtedly gives its children lots of time in managing their own learning processes. The realisations and the importance are all assisted by the teachers. Yet the kids should be made free to have their own understanding of learning about the world around them. The pedagogical capacity of a primary school should be very much distinct and the programmes related to the process are very much straight forward. In general a primary school cater kids from 4-11 years, however Ashtree Primary School and Nursery was little special in its way it was having all the provisions for the juniors, infants and the children till the age of 11. The inclusion of infants is quite amazing and the working mothers were also helped a lot. Ashtree Primary School and Nursery, is a very large organisation with all kinds of institutional back ups. This particular school concentrates on offering all kinds of offerings for a very multifaceted future of the children. However after the audit I have discovered that the learning process should be friendlier. The academic and social standards need to be extremely magnificent and Ashtree Primary School and Nursery in many respects could not collect much appreciation about it. There should be some specified targets that need to be decided by the whole committee of the school and accordingly later on all these should meet. There is hardly a year when the school could meet good academic and social appreciation norms. The motto of the school should be to have active participation in both academic and the social activities. This is the reason that will make the kids of this particular school learn about both the aspects equally. The pedagogical aim The pedagogical aim is to make the pupils enjoy the act of learning. The school needs to aim in creating a mutual atmosphere of trust and respect among the pupils. This helps in making them well prepared for future with the use of full potentiality in them (K. A. Hipp, 1997). It is need to be done amidst all kinds of guidelines made to learn with lots of training and practical speculations. Every kid should be moulded and must made to learn through proper understanding of the situation and the matter related to the same (R. F., Elmore, P. L. Peterson, & S. J. McCarthey, 1996). The school administration and the teachers should be very much particular about fostering a kind of philosophy and culture of expectations in the pupil. They should be more into the management of the kids’ future and try to nurture his instincts on the right way and towards a particular goal. Learning the culture of living and being an integral part of the society is the goal that these pupils should be trained and moulded for. The contribution of Ashtree Primary School and Nursery should target in serving the community as a whole. In terms of creating a kind of integrity in the community and the society the school should lay emphasis on the valuation of the participation made by the pupils. The pedagogical preparation should be done by working together for the collective rise in the contribution of raising standards of the citizens of future. The process is to leave an everlasting impression over the pupils that will help them to acquire a better position in the society and thereby will establish good norms in the culture. The contributions thus should not only be theoretical but are pragmatic and very much related to the upcoming challenges of community life and political set ups. Practical applications One thing that was rated good, by me is the system of election followed here. Ashtree Primary School and Nursery is such an institution that has got children from 2 to 6 years of age. In this tender state of life the kids are dealt just like another important member of the society. They take part in class elections and were also trained to get voted on to the school council. This is a major election that is meant for a year and every vote is equally valuable. The matter of being able to judge to prefer gets into the children and they become conscious about their choices. It is here that the children are trained for a basic learning of applying their intelligence to the society around them. The best part is that the participation of the parents is made very specific and thus the task of moulding the children becomes much easier. There are all kinds of discussions among the school committee and the parents for a balanced formulation of the learning process. These are all done to make the kid aware of all kinds of things in the right direction. The topics related to School Dinner Money, Breakfast Club, Packed Lunches, PE Kit, Late Arrivals and Uniform are all discussed with all minute details. Added to these sections of discussions there are the topics related to Parking and Safety Reminders which are of great help to the parents in making the children’s’ life more secured and convenient. Planning for future Regular meetings need to be organised in order to check out that every pupil’s voice is heard. Children need to be taught about the world at a tender age and most importantly they needs to be made, academically, socially and politically aware of their existence (National Assessment Program (NAP) ACT Department of Education and Training)3. This is great and extraordinarily praiseworthy task that only Ashtree Primary School and Nursery should manage to do every year with every new batch. The learning systems need to be very much practical and children need to be made aware of the ecological presence of the community and the environment all around. The celebrations of various events and the awareness towards nature will make these kids value life for the future. There should be more and more tours and every child should be asked to describe his experiences. It is very important to realise the tours and to learn the things around it. the term of getting socially concern is a major characteristic to be pedagogically strong in the academic periphery. All the upcoming targets of Ashtree Primary School and Nursery, need to get related to the proficiencies for pupils, healthy living, achieve healthy schools status and to improve the wildlife area. These are undoubtedly going to add more to the process of all round development. The Eco school committee headed by Miss Kiernan her troupe of Mrs Janes, Mrs White, Miss Clarke, Mrs Eden-walker and Mr Ancora need to be to achieve the best of the provisions for the children and to make them better people for the society in which they will leading. The learning process need to include all possible things that a small child can do. It should not be something beyond their capabilities. As far as they enjoy doing things it is just the best for them. Ashtree Primary School and Nursery should not encourage such tasks that can stress the children and bring negative affects in their life. Every child need to be developed with the best of the knowledge of the teacher and the members related to the school. Conclusion Ashtree Primary School and Nursery need to make small units of teachers and expert to plan the upcoming years. The idea need to modify the learning procedures, so that the children can cope up well with the competitiveness of the future. The particularisation should be all in accordance to the learning ability of the kids and that makes them flourish well for the culture ad the social set up of the community. Proper understanding and the ability to discover the positivistic point of view in every case is the basic of the whole learning process. The philosophy of making life better should be made clear through the games that they play. To be a pedagogically good primary schools of UK, Ashtree Primary School and Nursery must understand its responsibility and should mould the children as per their capabilities. The differences in the process of learning need to be always observed and thus the outcomes need to be always tracked well among the teachers, parents and guardians. After all a child is everyone’s responsibility.
