The University of California has a variety of courses and the campus has other satellite campuses in Berkeley, California, Irvine, and Santa Cruz among other places. The first procedure that a student who wants to enroll in that university should do is to find information about the school and the courses that it offers. At the University of California in Irvine, some of the courses offered there are in arts, medicine, biological sciences, and humanities. The campus has 89 undergraduate courses. At the University of California in Los Angeles, the courses offered there are in the following disciplines, medicine, and law among others (Thompson, 2016, pp24). For someone interested in a law course, then the University of California might be the best university to enroll in. UCLA is ranked 17th among the best law school in the world.

In this research, we will focus on the Juris degree program course both offered at UCI and UCLA (Miyazawa, 2016, p 201). At both universities, the course is on the faculty of law. Deciding to do a Juris degree at UCI and UCLA is the best decision since the school has a number of competent lecturers who are renowned for their contributions in the field of law. The university has also contributed to the making of successful lawyers such as Kevin R. Johnson and Floyd F. Feeny (Hermann, 2012). The admittance rate of the course is high in both universities.

This is due to the fact that engineering courses are quite competitive in the job market. Engineering courses are the top-paying careers in the world and this is the reason why the school has experienced a major increase in the number of students who are enrolling in mechanical engineering and other related engineering courses. A Juris course is expensive. The residential status of a student determines the amount of money that they will pay. For the students living at home, the price is $25 985, the off-campus students are $31 811, the on-campus students pay $33 811, and the students who are on campus but live outside the school the price for the course is $61 825.

The fees are usually subject to change and thus if someone wants to enroll in that school they should be prepared financially by targeting a higher amount so that they will be comfortable in case of any changes by the school's administration. If a student comes from a poor background, there are financial aids and scholarships provided by the school. For example, a student who attained a grade point average of 3 and comes from California, qualify for the scholarship. The non-residents are supposed to attain a GPA of 3.4. Before enrolling in the school of law, the grades and the qualifications that a student has will determine whether they will join the school.

To start with, the student must apply for the course after following the requirements as provided by the Law school admission council. The student must also create a Credential Assembly Service account which costs $85. The applications are found in that account in both universities. Before someone decides to apply for the Juris law course, the student should choose the time of his or her studies. The University has summer, autumn, and spring classes. After deciding on the time of the study, the student then applies for the selected course (Shatkin, 2010 p 4).

There is also an additional fee of $30 for the CAS to submit the report to UCLA School. The money will be used to help CAS to generate the application form to the University of California in Los Angeles or the other campus in Irvine. By registering with the Law school admission council, one is able to fasten the process of being selected into UCI and UCLA. The LSAC requires an additional fee of $185. The academic transcripts should be submitted during application so that the law school will make a decision on whether to enroll a student.
