Learning Never Stops Learning never stops. I firmly believe in this credo and this comes from within our own passion to further not only our education but our own self. There can be no greater and effective kind of acquisition of knowledge than from one’s desire to learn coupled with the proficient guidance of dedicated educators under a distinguished educational institution such as the University of Tampa. The institution will capably provide students with the aptitude to learn and to apply those they have learned in the real world. These are just some of the reasons why I wish to be a candidate for the Master of Business Administration program of the university. I have always felt that it is necessary for me, just as everyone should, to continue to strive for the kind of education that inculcates success without compromising integrity. The University of Tampa is a perfect place to hone my skills in order to further develop my professional growth through the knowledge I will acquire by being part of the fine educational institution. I have come a long way from my college education, earning a degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.), Marketing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I have had many experiences from the time I attained my bachelor’s degree, both culturally and professionally, that I trust I will be able to share some new insights in the discussion of how business education and management varies between countries. My firsthand knowledge on this subject would contribute to the discussions in the classroom and I hope I will be able to stimulate the conversations by bringing in new perspectives. This is something that I believe will somehow contribute to the enhancement of the graduate program. The same diversity is also what I hope to be an integral part of in my goals of building myself as a capable professional and towards the establishment of my own personal brand. I have been deeply in contemplation of what the future holds for me and I see a vision that is prosperous and rewarding. In these objectives, the University of Tampa is my first choice and will hold a large chapter in the book of my life that will be filled with so many new things and experiences I will not get elsewhere. Currently, I am proud to be working with the United States Navy. I hold a position which enables me to interact freely with people outside the confines of an office. In this job I am able to meet different kinds of people. There are times when I will encounter vexing individuals or situations but I have learned to be able to pacify the atmosphere by adapting to their different moods and attitudes as well as different values. I have matured by extending my patience remarkably through the years and my people skills had considerably improved that I am now more confident in interacting with all kinds of people from different backgrounds. I am aware that these abilities will be imperative in the further development of my leadership traits. These are the things that I wish to study in the institution so that I will be able to apply them in the real world. The kind of education the university offers is invaluable to the enhancement of my personal growth. Even during my years as a young college student in Puerto Rico, I have always regarded having an MBA degree as one of my primary goals. The fact that I now have the opportunity to earn it in no less than a reputable school here in the United States will be a dream come true. But I also believe that the University of Tampa offers me more than its great reputation of being a fine school. It consists of a large student body that is brimming with diversity that extends to new experiences that are both academic and non-academic. I wish to partake in these activities and acquire new experiences under the auspices of the university. The proficiencies I will take in will not be limited to the theoretical and the pedantic. I recognize that I am similar to a canvass to which many parts of the painting are still missing. I wish to fill these inadequacies with the right kind of expertise, skills and knowledge that I will be able to employ at work. When people see my name, I want them to associate me in such a way that they know what I can do and they will be willing to support me and my endeavors because they believe in my competences as a professional. I want them additionally to look at me as a capable leader who could guide them towards a shared objective. Growth is unending and the will to carry it out is within one’s self. The drive to push beyond the comforts of our everyday life is an important element of a meaningful life. The help of the university in molding me into becoming a better version of myself will only propel me into establishing my place in society as a productive and significant member thereof. I aspire to be a part of and continue in the fine tradition of being a proud alumnus of the University of Tampa. Providing me with the chance to be enrolled in the MBA program means that I am one step closer to realizing this dream. Read More
