Its founder was Roger Williams who was a theologian who advocated for the small Christian minorities that were in existence at the time. Remarkably, he participated in the efforts to prohibit human trade and slavery. He was a British with intense abilities in languages that included Latin, Hebrew, Greek, French, and Dutch. Roger Williams’ university became a university in 1992 long after it had purchased about eighty acres of bordering land in Bristol in the year 1969. The school closed down briefly during the World War II period in a time that the YMCA had taken the leadership of the board of the institution. In many occasions, the success of every educational institution is attributed to the realizations of its founder. As a result, the institution dedicated itself to the values and ideologies of its founder that were to offer freedom, education, and tolerance to people of all lifestyles. It sits on Rhodes Island State of the U.s. its focus is on liberal arts and has become the preferred choice for many seeking higher education. Its environment offers student the dynamic surroundings that enable them to mingle with diverse cultures and influences them in to being global citizens. The objective of this part of the paper will be to evaluate this institution with a specified audience in mind. The audience to which this review will be base its argument will be towards the students that intend to join this institution. Positive review First, the Roger Williams University is an institution that accepts people of all religions and cultures. Ideally, this makes it the preferred university as it accepts people of all religions. It appreciates the global perspectives in existence and does not discriminate against religion or culture (Center for Student Opportunity 357). In addition, the institution appreciates the value of every human being to bring about substantial value to rest of humanity. The mission of their institution is in understanding the different global cultures, diverse philosophies, and the unique historical backgrounds that influence the perspectives of those within its facility. It aims at creating citizen- scholars fully equipped with the core values that characterize society (Center for Student Opportunity 357). In addition, the research mechanisms embedded in the institution’s program are a distinctive feature as they nurture inventions and discoveries of highly needed advancements. It offers an opportunity for students, both local and foreign, to involve themselves in projects that enhance their leadership and cooperative abilities that apply in the real world after leaving the institution (Center for Student Opportunity 357). For the international or foreign students, the institution ensures that they get the best communicative skills that enable them to communicate effectively with other people. In addition, the institution tolerates people from diverse cultures allowing anyone from across the globe to enjoy the benefits of the institution as the founder would have wanted. It does not discriminate against gender, ethnicity, or religion. Negative Review However, the Roger Williams University is one of the most expensive students in Rhodes Island State. Its high tuition fees and the accommodation cost for students make it a not so preferable university. In addition, it becomes harder for foreign students to access the available student loan facilities, as the requirements set by the institution are too high. For instance, the institution requires the provision of substantial collateral in case a student is unable to repay for the loan once they have qualified to attain one. In this regard, students find themselves working extra shifts by having many part time jobs to try to cater for their tuition rather than concentrate on their studies. On the contrary, the Roger Williams University is T4 law school hence making it hard form a graduate from this institution to get a job compared to a T1 law school graduate. In essence, the T4 schools stick to the fundamental values embedded in an institution since its inception hence making it hard to instill new and better values within it. Ideally, the Professors between the two tiers differ in terms of knowledge and experience although the T4 professors bring in solid money to the institution through their scholarly articles. In addition, the state of the buildings is deplorable, as it is an old institution. The buildings tend to be uncomfortable when there is excessive heat or cold. In excess, the gender ratio in the administration is disheartening as it is a male-dominated institution. Therefore, the institution is gender bias because it sidelines the abilities of women in leadership positions. Part 2: R Kelly’s ‘Trapped in the closet’ album review Movie or film industry has grown significantly in the recent past. According to scholars, much of the success is attributed to the evolution in technology that has been taking place in the recent past. Movies have been produced many of which have proved to contain related themes. For instance, Trapped in the closet album entails a series of songs arranged in a sequential manner done by American secular artist by the name R Kelly. The set of songs number up to twenty-two chapters released between 2005 and 2007. In the beginning, the first chapter of the series depicts a one-night stand that forms the basis of the whole chapters. The events present deceit, love triangles, and a series of interconnected lies. The presentation of songs in this series is in a narrative format. The release of the chapters in the song was in stages as the first five chapters came out between the months of June and May of 2005. In November of the same year, seven more chapters penetrated the American charts to an astounding reception. The last batch of ten hit the market two years after the twelve had hit the market. Early this year, R Kelly announced that he was going to continue with chapters twenty-three and beyond, but is still looking for funds to continue with the trapped project. According to him, the name of next series would be ‘Trapped in the Closet: The Next Installment’. The essence of this part of the paper will be to review ‘The Trapped in the Closest’ series having adults as the target audience. Positive review A notable part of this album contains positive impact to the viewers. The synopsis mainly targets middle-aged adults who find themselves in different situations that they need to escape from. The series portrays the dangers of engaging in extra marital relationships as it shows that the activities done in the dark might tend to find their way to the surface. This is a great area of concern even in the current society. As such, this album serves as an awakening call to those in marriages to stay faithful to their spouses, as the dangers out there are many. In one instance, a character by the name Sylvester threatens to kill both Cathy and her husband. This was despite the fact that he is caught cheating by the husband. After weighing his options, he opts not to allow his emotions make him act out in a non-sensible manner. This shows that people need to articulate the consequences of their actions before acting them out. In addition, the series of lies within the scenes of each chapter build up to greater lies as the characters try to cover up for their mistakes. Ideally, the theme in these chapters is that starting with lie leads to a castle of lies that in the end bring more out hurt to the relationship. It speaks to the adults that they need to do what is morality right to avoid hurting their spouses. The series also help people to understand that they need not be quick to judge as everybody has a justified reason for acting out in a certain manner. The series is a necessary follow as the suspense created at the end of every scene intrigues one to get the next chapter of the series. Negative review On the contrary, this set of chapters is not for those who have reserved beliefs in sexual matters or orientation. The content is highly overrated and not suitable for people who shy away from these matters. In addition, it is unsuitable for children as the themes portrayed in the chapters are of an adult nature. On the other hand, the twenty-three parts of the series make it hard for one to comprehend the flow of the story if they skip one part because the events follow a sequence. In essence, if one does not start from the first chapter they will not grasp the concept if they start from the later chapters. Additionally, the chapters tend to consume longer time for the audience as it is a long song.
