IntroductionThe Political Propaganda Image is a clear depiction of the US as world super power especially when it comes to matters relating to war. Apart from showing the US as a super power, it also depicts the nation as dictatorial; this is because it clearly states that any nation that does not support the US’ efforts of fighting terrorism risk receiving the same fate as the terrorists US is fighting (“Political Propaganda”). The essays will explanation more on the image in terms of not only the style used but also layout and color.

Type The image is type of a political propaganda; this is because the words used on it are of hatred and targeting certain nations. The words used are a clear indication that they are not humble, instead, they portray both blackmail and threats. The reason why the words used are in form of threats is due to the term “Shut Your Mouth!” In my opinion, this is an order, whereby the image is declaring that US is the only nation in control and nobody can oppose its decisions (“Political Propaganda”).

The warplanes are many on the image and this shows the nation’s dominance in matters of war. This image is a direct target to the Middle East nations such as Afghanistan and Iraq that the US has been at war with for many years. Although the US is ever attacking nations from the Middle East in the name of curbing terrorism, the truth of the matter is that the US wants to be in control of these nations due to their vast richness especially in terms of petroleum production. Apart from threatening, the image also portrays blackmail, this is due to the saying, “…you are either with us or you are with the terrorists…” The reason why the message is blackmail is that it is indirectly stating that it is either nations back the US attacks to Arabic nations or they too be treated as terrorism supporters.

Layout The words at the top are in an uppercase form and bold, this is in a move to catch the attention of anybody that will have a glimpse of it. The first word at the top, “YOU”, apart from its exclusion from the others, it appears in a much bigger font than the rest (“Political Propaganda”). The main colors used on the image are red, blue and white. Words are in white apart from the ones appearing at the bottom of the image, which are in black. In the middle section of the picture is the image of a person dressed in military attire, the person is in a plane.

At the background are more planes flying in the sky (“Political Propaganda”).Color Several colors appear on the image; at the upper section of the image is color red, blue is also evident at the lower part of the image while in the extreme bottom is color yellow. The words are in white apart from those appearing at the bottom, which are in black color.Image In the image, the colors red blue and white are used and this is a clear indication that the image represents the US as a super power.

The words at the bottom stating that, “…we’ll bomb who we want.” is a clear indication of how the US portray themselves as the world’s super power and no one can tell them what ought to be done (“Political Propaganda”). This is clear indication that the US is in a position to anything it likes. The main reason why the image portrays the US as a super power or a rather dominant state is due to the colors used, which are red, blue and white.
