The classic experimental design would be the best design to apply in this case considering one has to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using the PI program in under performing schools (Klaus & Oscar, 2008).
Using comparative case studies allows the researcher to establish the main differences between schools that use the PI program and those that do not. Using one school that does not have the PI program and one that does, a researcher is able to determine the environments that both schools function in and thus they are able to locate the issues that need to be looked at in terms of improving students’ performances in their academics (Klaus & Oscar, 2008).
