First of all, I want to tell you how incredibly excited I am to be your roommate at Babson in the coming year. I’m sure college is going to be an amazing experience, and I hope we will soon become good friends and can share it together.
I’m sure one of the things that concerns you most is what it will be like to live it with me as a roommate. Well, to be completely honest, there are some ways I will be an extremely easy person to live with, and some ways I might be a bit more difficult to put up with. One of the reasons that I will be easy to live with is that I am a fairly laid back person. I tend not to get worked up about things, and am fairly relaxed, so I would be surprised if much of what you did bothered me. I’m also fairly direct and honest, so if there is something that I think we need to talk about I’m just going to bring it up instead of letting it simmer or being passive aggressive – you never have to wonder if your pile of dirty gym clothes is bothering me – if it is I’ll come out and tell you right away, so if I say nothing you will know it’s not. I’m not especially neat nor especially messy, but a bit of a mess won’t bother me – if it will bother you then I can definitely keep cleaner. So those are all the ways I’m pretty easy to live with. One of the reasons I might be a pain in my sleep schedule – I tend to alternately be a very early riser or a night owl, and I tend to work best early in the morning or late at night. So my schedule is pretty erratic and might shift significantly throughout the year. If you’re like me, then this won’t be a problem, but if it is I’m sure we can work something out!
I decided to come to Babson for several reasons. One is definitely its spirit of entrepreneurship – I love the idea of starting your own business, of creating ideas and capitalizing on them, and competing with others to try to win market share, and, of course, profits.   Read More

... venture as well. My future is a mixture of nervous anticipation. Five years ago, our family was given an opportunity to migrate to the United States. Five years is a relatively ample time to get used to the environment, make new friends and adapt to the new culture. It was not a walk in the park for me, who was in the middle of my teenage years at that time, to find my place in the sun, so to speak. At first, I even wanted to get away. One of the first challenges was to overcome the language barrier. To address this, I enrolled in an ESL course. It actually took a lot of getting used to communicating with other people using a language that I didn’t grow up with. It’s as basic as eating and sleeping, having to tell people your thoughts...

First Car Experience

...?My First Car My fascination with cars started early in my childhood. Of all the toys that I would receive on Christmas Day, the one that I always cherished and enjoyed the most were the remote controlled cars that my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles would give me. I could never have enough of cars. Even when my parents would take me to the carnivals or video arcades, I would always make a beeline for the go-karts or bump cars and ride until my parents demanded that I change rides already. That is why it did not come as a surprise to them when I announced at the age of 13 that I would begin saving money in order to buy my first car at the age of 16. I'll never forget that car. It was what was known as a fixer upper, a car...

The incident that occurred on the west side of Seibles road, midway between Norman Bridge road and Norman Lane, Montgomery, Alabama changed my perspectives towards life completely. I took the usual route home. I thought of informing my mom that I was let out of the school early. While reaching for the cell phone, I noticed that the car had lost its direction. My Sophomore Year

If three of my fellow students could take these courses, I knew that I was more than capable as well.
My confidence soon became shaky after contracting the Swine Flu. I was absent for a week in October. This put me behind in all of my studies. I found that all my grades had slipped to low Cs. My Algebra II class was also a struggle. My teacher was from Africa. This was his first math class in the United States. His teaching style did not reach me or many of my fellow students. I was determined to get back on track. My determination raised my grades to Bs, except in Algebra II, by December. At the end of the year I received two Bs and As in the rest of my classes.

My Expectations for Counselling Work Placement

Emotional trauma and physical trauma are two different types of trauma. However, they are not mutually exclusive. They may or may not be related depending on the context of the situation. For example, wounds from physical trauma like a gunshot wound may eventually heal. However, the emotional impact of the incident may last him long. It will take him time before he comes out. The emotional wounds and repercussions of the traumatic event may be long-lasting. Thus, psychological trauma can take years to rebound. If it’s left untreated and unresolved, it can become more devastating than the physical wounds. It can’t be left unattended and should be dealt with immediately.

In my first counseling work placement,...
