Extract of sample "My Passion for Dancing"

I am currently the captain and choreographer for the (spell it out first) (NWC) dance team.
I served as a peer mentor for the United Youth for Survival which is an after school program for abused and traumatized children. I taught them how to breakdance and they enjoyed it very much. Serving the community gives me the opportunity to give back what was given to me by others.
I was selected as one of the lead dancers in the Hartford Stage Company production and I was hired by The Dance Center in West Hartford to teach hip-hop classes to students under the age of 14. I am the youngest teacher in the school and I am currently teaching 3 classes. I have also been hired by the Watkinson School in West Hartford as a dance instructor for the dance club and there are over twenty-five students.
I have not decided on a major for college but I am certain that dance will be part of my college experiences. If there is not a hip-hop/breakdance club I will start one immediately. Dancing has helped me to relieve stress, be creative, meet friends, make people happy, and remain in great physical health.
As you will have noticed, I have had many experiences and responsibilities in the dance field. I have had to be disciplined, responsible, meet deadlines and perform. All of these leadership skills will be brought into my chosen field and I will remain as a volunteer to help others. I hope _________ University gives me the opportunity to become part of the student body and demonstrate that I am capable to perform in the academic world and help me in meeting my goals and objectives. My Goals and Experience

... the others closed. This inspiration had led me right from my childhood to try hard with all the possible options and not to give up till the goal is achieved. In this context the determining factor between success and failure is the choice of option and approach. ...My History As A I am from Jordan and I came to the United s with my parents when I was 20 years old. My parents were convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the United States was the best place for us to start a new life and make something out of ourselves so we packed out bags and head out for the land promise. We settled in the United States and started a new life. Living in a foreign land has its advantages and disadvantages. On of the main problems that I came across during my first few months in America was the language barrier. I have learned how to speak the English language while I was a student in Jordan but what I learned in school was not the same as the language used in the streets of the United States. My American friends...

Dancing Identities in Drum n Bass Club Culture

Yet several music researchers, journal records and handling artists depict the classification as found at the convergence of a reach of musical and social impacts, announcing the style as a result of the 1990s urban, multicultural Britain. Although early depictions of club groups of onlookers help this thought by delineating them as racially blended, researchers Gilbert and Pearson identity a later splitting of the class into "dark" and "white" audiences (Ladner, 2004). This strain is still evident in contemporary British drum "n" bass club society: whilst youthful, white, male clubbers now rule the scene, their development practices are ostensibly "appropriated" from mainstream representations of a racialized Other.
