Download file to see previous pages I am currently studying at Montgomery College, with a major in Electrical Engineering. I chose the field of Electrical Engineering mainly because of my fascination and unwavering interest in engineering, particularly in the microelectronics discipline. When I was growing up, I always had this “Mr. Fix It” attitude. I would always tag along with my father whenever he fixes something in the house: radios, ceiling fans, car engine, and even toilet drains and kitchen sinks. I grew up admiring my father for his ability to fix anything that is broken. And I must say that he the influential factor and reason why I took up engineering. Aside from my father, the science of Electrical Engineering and its base of interesting and diverse concepts have made me feel wanting to be a part of it and be one with it. I feel that with my eagerness to understand, commit and learn from mistakes, I can be one of the future engineers who will continue to develop its science and practical applications of electrical and electronic devices systems, most especially in the field of microelectronics. The Demand for Electrical Engineering. Years before the Information Age and the development of the World Wide Web, the demand for Electrical Engineering professionals ranged from the field of telecommunications, energy, transportation, medicine, and agriculture to name only a few. Nowadays, the field of Electrical Engineering is taken into new heights, particularly in the field of research and development. ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Electrical Engineering in Telecommunications

...?Electrical engineering in Telecommunications [Insert 1[Insert department, [Insert Address Including Country e-mail address contact] Telecommunications refers to the conveying of information across a given medium which can be a wire such as copper wire, coaxial cable, optical fibre or through space (radio) and rely on electricity to work. Information is coded into a carter mode (such as a wave) to transfer the information into a carrier frequency fit for transmission, a process termed modulation. Either the amplitude or frequency of the transmission medium can be modulated. The type of modulation adopted affects the cost implications of the whole system [1]. The next step is for telecommunication engineers to outline a transmission...

Electrical engineering

... Since my early childhood, I have always had passionate and curious about the inner mechanisms of electric gadgets around me; this led my parents to believing from an early age that I was destined to be an engineer. I wrecked a few electronic items in the house and got in trouble; however, as I grew older I was a regular hand around the house and I did most of the repairs on electronic stuff. In high school, I researched about engineering and one of my mentors and uncle who works as an electrical engineer encouraged me to major in the sciences. This was not difficult as I was in love with and excelled in mathematics and physics; I was not very strong in the arts so I opted to major mostly in technical fields. After I graduated from high...

Organisations in the Engineering and Technology Environment: Singapore Airlines

In those days, just three flights per week, to Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Penang, were all that the people in Singapore were privileged to. There were very fast developments in the situation in a span of two decades. During this period, Singapore’s Kallang Airport gained international exposure and started making huge additions to its fleet. Soon after the birth of the Federation of Malaysia on February 1963, the Malayan Airlines came to be known as the Malaysian Airlines, and in 1966, it was renamed the Malaysian-Singapore Airlines. But, in 1972, fifteen years from the day it was founded, Singapore Airlines split up with Malaysian Airlines and acquired a separate identity.

Should Genetic Engineering Be Controlled by the Law

...Genetic Engineering Introduction The creation of a dependable argument is contingent upon the successful completion of thorough research into the views of both sides of the argument. Analysis and assessment must occur before an informed judgment can be made. An informed judgment can only be made following an in-depth evaluation of both sides, which will answer the question: Should genetic engineering be controlled by law? Side A contends that yes, this technology should be stringently regulated and that deep consideration should be paid to the legal, ethical, and social issues scientists will face through pursuit of this technology (Rabino, 366). Side B says no, this technology should not be restricted and insists that genetic...

The study will relay more information on some of the negative effects that come alongside continuous genetic modification of children.
Studies show that genetic engineering in children plays a number of roles for instance apart from changing possible chronic diseases and disorders, the technique also enables a couple to bear a healthy child that is more athletic and attractive (Baird 15). The topic of genet...
