While it requires a high level of accountability and motivation among the group members, it ensures that members receive meaningful feedback within a short time period; and also it facilitates a high level of group performance in the assignment activity. Group assignments in the process of student performance-enhancing programs should be designed effectively. Thus the making of a good group assignment in the classroom requires the consideration of two stages of the discussions - prior to the discussion and during the discussion within and between the groups.

Prior to the discussion group members are expected to ensure accountability individually. And during the discussion, members should share their specific choices and compare them with the other groups. Also during the discussion between the group's students need to focus their attention on the key issues and report before starting the total classroom discussion. The design process of assignment/discussion activity in a classroom will take place as per the schedule and would build group cohesiveness.

For instance, assignment/discussion needs to produce some task-focused energy in order to increase the group's cohesiveness. This has been highlighted in the group activity of the students as one of the most important aspect in the whole process. Also, the effectiveness of the group assignment will depend on the sharing of the assignment results through their discussions among the students in the classroom.Group assignment/discussion would positively impact enhancing the performance of the students, especially such group assignments that need a lot of group cohesiveness among the individuals.

The effective group discussions can provide comparatively more benefits to the student even there is no considerable planning. Therefore a liberal policy of making available the necessary arrangements, such as allowing a considerable time period for group discussions and motivation would definitely enhance the performance capabilities of students.
