While it requires a high level of accountability and motivation among the group members, it ensures that members receive meaningful feedback within a short time period; and also it facilitates a high level of group performance in the assignment activity. Group assignments in the process of student performance-enhancing programs should be designed effectively. Thus the making of a good group assignment in the classroom requires the consideration of two stages of the discussions - prior to the discussion and during the discussion within and between the groups. Prior to the discussion group members are expected to ensure accountability individually. And during the discussion, members should share their specific choices and compare them with the other groups. Also during the discussion between the group's students need to focus their attention on the key issues and report before starting the total classroom discussion.
The design process of assignment/discussion activity in a classroom will take place as per the schedule and would build group cohesiveness. For instance, assignment/discussion needs to produce some task-focused energy in order to increase the group's cohesiveness. This has been highlighted in the group activity of the students as one of the most important aspect in the whole process. Also, the effectiveness of the group assignment will depend on the sharing of the assignment results through their discussions among the students in the classroom.
Group assignment/discussion would positively impact enhancing the performance of the students, especially such group assignments that need a lot of group cohesiveness among the individuals. The effective group discussions can provide comparatively more benefits to the student even there is no considerable planning. Therefore a liberal policy of making available the necessary arrangements, such as allowing a considerable time period for group discussions and motivation would definitely enhance the performance capabilities of students. ...? Designs Designs Question Giles Colborne is the of the book d as “Simple and Usable”. In this book, he describes how to come up with simple designs; he recommends the use of four strategies which include removing, hiding, organizing and displacing (Colborne, 2010). Giles Colborne uses the design of small and commonly used gadgets to explain how simplicity can be used in the design. The example of the bicycle design seemed exciting to me. At first, I thought that any new design of a bicycle, whether simple or complex, should include the gearing system; Giles challenged me when he said that a design of a bicycle can be made simple by removing the gearing system and the front wheel. Groupism in Design

... 14 June, Groupism in Design: Beyond Creativity Breakthroughs in history are owed to the designers who possess unlimited creativity and are not afraid to stand with their ideas. They are the few people who are in constant search for new ways on how to make things better. In cell phone's technology, the designs evolved from two pounds brick to 52.7 grams (Philips X100), from 30 minutes talk to 18 hour talk time (Sonim XP3.20 Quest), and from 8 hours stand-by time to 3600h (Philips Xenium X500) . But, like the cell phone itself, the best features are not compiled into one specific phone. Each phone's design has its own strength and weakness. Same as to an individual, the clichs "No one is perfect" and "No man in an island" are basically true...

I worked on a project with a woman named Mary and a man named Casey that was different. Despite the negative experiences, I believe there are good things about designing by groupism. International cooperation, however, comes with many pitfalls and dilemmas. In an international system which many believe to be anarchical, it remains increasingly difficult for nation-states to envisage cooperative ventures. Indeed, survival being the prime motive of states, the distribution of gains from cooperation and the fear of becoming dependent on such cooperation drives states away from collaborative endeavors and structures (Waltz 1979: 106). However, since the 1970s, a school of thought (most commonly) known as neoliberal...

Plato as One of Historys Greatest Contributors

Pla One of History’s Greatest Contributors The dictionary typically defines philosophy as “the love of or search for wisdom or knowledge” or “as the theory or logical analysis of the principles underlying conduct, thought, knowledge and the nature of the universe” (Neufeldt, Goralnik, 1994, p. 1015). With such a general definition, one might begin to understand the complexities involved in studying philosophy as it seems to encompass just about all knowledge pursuits. Perhaps part of the confusion in trying to define the term can be found in the early days of the science when it applied almost universally to all avenues of knowledge in ancient Greece. The term itself derives from an ancient Greek word that translates to “love of wisdom...
