Educational effects of standard settings The fundamental intention of standard setting is to produce a hypothetical minimally competent person. The teachers can think that, the development of exams for students is one way of meeting the standards. This is not the case. The teachers should ensure that, the students improve in fact absorption and ability to interpret. Meeting the set educational standards is a challenging issue for most teachers (Melissa, 2012). Hence, the standard setting tunes the teachers to up their teaching skills to ensure that, the students’ needs are met in an appropriate manner.
