? Case Study Case Study Answer1 I always dreamt to be a leader in one of the elementary schools in near future as it’s oneof the renowned education societies among others. Due to its high-end educational strategies and policies, it attracted a huge range of students towards it. This enhanced its brand image and brand value to a significant extent as compared to others. This is mainly because of its huge strength of students and the total revenue earned each financial year. So, due to such reputation, I always decided to become a manager or leader of an elementary school in my future days in order to know its operations and goals. If I would attain an opportunity to become a leader or HR manager of an elementary school in near future, then I would surely try to develop innovative facilities for the students to enhance the portfolio and demand of such institutions in the market among others. Along with this, it might be also worth trying to introduce varied types of extra-curricular activities such as lab and library facilities, an Accelerated Reader Program to develop the joy of reading among students and character education classroom programs to enhance the inner skills and talents of the students. Only then, the dominance of the school might be maintained in the upcoming competitive market scenarios as compared to others. Along with this, the profit margin and sales might also be enhanced resulting in amplification of the brand equity in the market. Side by side, the market value and reputation of the organization might also be enhanced among other rivals in the market. Apart from this, being a leader or manager, I would also try to innovate, the structure of the elementary school so that it might attract the attention of more and more students and parents in the coming days. Only then the mission statement of the elementary school of becoming the top player in this sector might get fulfilled as compared to others in the market in near future. Side by side, its range of students might also get enhanced day by day very rapidly. Answer 2 If I get the opportunity to develop the global goals for the elementary school in near future, then I would surely apply leadership principles and theories, after analyzing all its aspects. According to me, the most essential leadership theories required at the time of the development of global goals for the elementary school in the next 5 years are stated below. Trait theory: It is an approach describing the personalities of human beings. It is essential, because on the basis of an individual personality trait, I would approach the person for further discussion regarding the prospects of the goals in the up-coming competitive scenario. For example, this theory would also prove effective in understanding the personality traits of the senior managers and the administrators if enrolled below me for the fulfillment of this task. Thus, it may be stated that trait theory of leadership is extremely essential for any leader or members of any organization or group. So, it is extremely essential for the leaders to attain a definite type of skills and traits to accomplish the objectives or goals of a specific organization, as he, might act as a motivator in these case. Transformational leadership theory: This theory states that in order to attain organizational upliftment, personal interest need to be rejected and the peers and employees need to be motivated to work for the success of the common goal or an objective of the organization. Along with this, it also helps in enhancing the morale, and performance of followers resulting in attainment of the tactics and strategies of the organization. So, according to my perspective it is extremely essential while developing the global goals of an elementary school. Transactional leadership theory: This theory means transaction of information and ideas among the leaders and followers. This helps in the attainment as well as transformation of varied types of information among each other that would prove essential for development of the global goals for the elementary school. Such types of leadership skills are extremely essential to achieve the goals in the next five years. Lassiez-faire leadership theory: According to this theory, the leader freely interacts with its followers or senior members of the organization in order to analyze the pros and cons of a particular topic. This might prove extremely effective for the members to decide, both the positive and negative impacts of the fact on the organization in long run. So, it is highly preferred by me, among other leadership theories. Similarly, the leadership principles essential for the development of the global goals for the next 5 years are timely decision making, instant awareness, communication, accountability, planning, and problem solving techniques. Apart from these features, communication and instant decision making nature are also another essential characteristics of a leader or a manager according to me of an organization in future days. Therefore, such types of leadership skills are extremely essential for the members or leaders like me, if selected. Answer 3 A leader is the highest position in a team, and he or she comprises the responsibility of maintaining equality among the members. Apart from this, he or she might act as a motivator to enhance the level of performance and devotion of the members towards the goal or objective of the organization or group (Sadler, 2003). This may be possible only if the members are delegated the responsibilities as per their abilities and talents so that they might perform better. As a result, the rate of conflicts might also be lowered to a certain extent as compared to other teams. Thus, in order to reduce the rate of conflicts within the members of the team, the teammates need to be selected on the basis of certain factors like age, attitudes, values, beliefs, personalities, and many others. Moreover, the team members of the organization might also comprise of the risk taking attitude and problem solving skills so that they might handle the situations carefully. Side by side, the members might also use a tough and aggressive nature to take hard decisions in varied situations. Thus, these types of characteristic features are also extremely essential for the development of a team that might prove effective for the betterment of an organization in the long run. Hence, it may be stated as per me that the above mentioned features are highly essential while developing the global goals for the next five years for an elementary school. Answer 4 According to the diversity model of Loden, the members of a group have varied types of diversity issues such as attitudes, race, religion, language, personality, mental characteristics, and communication styles. Due to the presence of such issues, the rate of conflict might enhance to a greater extent resulting in lowering of the level of performance and devotion of the employees among the group. This might hinder the level of commitment of the employees within a group leading to miscommunication and conflicts. So, it is extremely essential for the leader like me to offer a high concentration over the members in order to reduce the level of conflicts and miscommunication. This may be possible only if the leader like me tries to interact or communicate uniformly with all the members lowering the conflicts within them. This might also help in improving the level of performance and commitment of the members within the group leading to the fulfillment of the goal or objective of the organization. Side by side, it might also help the members to reduce the level of miscommunication within them-selves and enhance the level of interpersonal bonding. To do so, the interaction is extremely essential within them. Only then, the leader like me and the followers might work in a coordinated way to accomplish the global goal of the development of an elementary school in the next five years. Hence, in order to maintain uniformity among the members of the group, laissez-faire style of leadership needs to be implemented. The leader like me might communicate freely with all the members to know their views and ideas and maintain uniformity among them. Answer 5 After analyzing the case study in a vivid way, it may be stated that it is essential for a leader like me to offer a high level of concentration over the views and ideas of the followers or team mates to maintain coordination. To do so, it is extremely essential to communicate with all the members of the group to attain their positive and negative views over a topic. Otherwise, it might lead to conflicts or miscommunication within a group. As a result, the level of productivity and performance of the members of the group might get reduced, thereby, hindering the image and the value of the organization in the market among others. Side by side, it is also essential to offer a high level of motivation in order to improve the morale and dedication of the employees towards the goals or objectives of the organization. Thus, it may be stated that without the coordination among the members and the leaders, no goal or objective of an organization might be fulfilled. This is so because it is a joint effort of the members of the entire group to attain success of the organizational objectives or goals. Therefore, it may be stated that varied courses helped me in enhancing my knowledge and information regarding the leadership theories and principles that might get utilized in near future. They also helped in attaining the fact that motivation and communication are not the only requirement of any leader to accomplish organizational goals and objectives but inter-personal relationship also plays a significant role in this. Moreover, proper personality traits and attitudes are also essential aspects of any group or organization to be sustained for the long run in this competitive scenario among other competitors. Thus, if the leader like me or the members of any organization or group comprise of the above mentioned points or features then they might surely prove effective in the long run. Read More
