 «Development of Innovative Mindset» Special Education Education is a vital process when transforming human behavior and advancing knowledge on various social issues. The education process is critical because it nurtures talents and development of skills that boost individual’s academic growth and social integration. It promotes understanding and sharing ideas on various issues that appear essential for holistic development. This explains why school leaders have a significant role to play in ensuring that everyone irrespective of status and physical condition attain education. The leaders should design viable modalities and strategies to promote success amongst students. The strategies should help in streamlining operations in the special education sector and ensure that students with special needs receive sufficient support. Global leaders emphasize the need to improve special education to ensure equitable acquisition of knowledge by everyone including the disabled who have been neglected for a long time. The leaders are keen to eradicate challenges including discrimination and lack of support equipments that hinder individuals with special needs from achieving quality education. These include a call on key stakeholders in the education sector to formulate strong educational policies that ensure holistic provision of learning support to all irrespective of gender, color, race and physical ability. Explanation of issues Palladino (2001) noted that special education policies are relevant in advancing education of the disabled who have been neglected. The disabled have not enjoyed equal educational rights compared to individuals without disability. Authorities and school leaders need to distinguish their plight, develop special centers, and provide learning support equipments that are necessary during the education process. Disabled individuals face various challenges that incorporate learning inability, poor communication capacity, emotional and physical development complications. Nations should develop favorable education policies to boost disabled education. Construction of favorable infrastructural set ups that embraces their needs are also crucial. These elements provide hope for the disabled who are being nurtured to realize their full potentials. Evidence and point of view Special education has not received proper management and strategic support systems from key stakeholders who include school leaders. The leaders have not taken the initiative to develop inclusive school programs that give every student equal chance of participation. The programs within several institutions do not favor students with various kinds of disabilities consequently hindering their performance academically and socially (Palladino, 2001). The high rate of discrimination also affects their self-esteem, ego and confidentiality. These are significant elements for holistic development. The stakeholders have also failed to develop viable policies to safeguard the rights of students equally and prioritize the special needs of the disabled students. This is because poor policies that guide operations in the education sector in several nations have been the source of failure resulting to a total neglect of the disabled. According to Palladino (2001), poor educational policies have continued to deny individuals with special needs the right to education. This may lead to high level of uneducated society members. This eventually poses a serious burden to governments. Scholars affirm that nations should align their education policies with the millennium development goals (MDG) that seek to promote universal education. This will ensure that everyone is able to achieve education without discrimination because it is a fundamental right in the present world. Key stakeholders in the education sector in various nations must realize that special education covers education for the disabled and children enhances economic growth. Special education is important for social development, economic empowerment and academic progress of individuals. It is necessary to put up proper measures that are sustainable to ensure that special education is enhanced (Cooner, Tochterman & Garrison-Wade, nd). School leaders must be prepared to lead by example in determining that universal school guidelines are in place. They should develop inclusive programs and activities that students with special needs can partake to improve socially. They should also involve students with special needs in various activities that include academic competitions, sports and other co curriculum activities (Palladino, 2001). Consequently, the leaders should motivate every student irrespective of their status and nature to enable them understands the significance of education. This boosts their morale and enables them to develop a positive attitude towards education. This is essential for personal development. They should also mobilize various stakeholders and community members to help in tackling the challenges affecting special education that may harm students if not addressed. This is essential since an inclusive approach in developing a solution to such an issue is sustainable. Authorities have a crucial role in ensuring that special education undergoes nurturing and execution effectively with the intention of benefitting students. They are obligated to develop policies that enable everyone to achieve quality education. The policies must address the plight of the disabled and ensure that their needs are provided. Authorities should develop a policy that ensures that every learning complex is built with favorable walkways to ease movement of the disabled. Authorities should also offer requisite learning equipments and support incentives to enable students with special needs to learn appropriately. Influence of context and assumptions Authorities in various nations are obligated to modify their education systems to integrate special education as a policy to advance learning levels of individuals with disabilities. This ensures that education is provided universally without discrimination. This is with the intention of realizing international set education goals. Special education has been accorded the priority it deserves in most nations such as the US. The government and school administrators recognize that individuals with special needs also have a role to play in advancing economic performance and providing innovative ideas. They assert that, nurturing of every individual’s unique capability is paramount to propel the realization of one’s potential that is pertinent for growth. The subject of the study is to enable provision of in-depth information to policy developers in the education sector to integrate special education guidelines in the strategic plan of operations (Palladino, 2001). This ensures that the disabled are not neglected in the education cycle. It enhances the placement of necessary supporting equipments including incentives to progress their education. This means that special education is relevant because it advances universal education by establishing stabling blocks to disabled education and development of sound policies that are relevant in advancing their knowledge prowess. Conclusion Education is a basic right that everyone is entitled to irrespective of physical and mental prowess. It enhances development of innovative mindset that is essential in promoting invention of technological enabled systems.
