Inattentiveness in School Inattentiveness affects the hyperactivity of students where the students are faced with problems of tracking vital details which will enable them sustain attention during a class task. They appear to be less energized even in stimulating situations. In most cases children are likely to become inattentive due to a variety of factors and it is upon the teachers to always be aware of such situations. Most teachers tend to ignore such cases and with time they go out of hand and the result is poor performance which affects the overall performance of the learners. The children going to school are the most affected by inattentiveness especially in cases where they have no option but to strain in order to meet the school requirements in terms of performance. They appear not to react at all to any situation they encounter. They are likely to experience problems when completing tasks (World Health Organization 19). It is evident that such disorders may not easily be noticed until in a later stage of life. The problem if unattended to affects the overall performance and behavioral traits of an individual. They end up lacking non verbal communication skills as they are not attentive to issues in class from which they are expected to learn how to express themselves. This disorder has made most of the students to take a longer time to learn how to express them as they end up having a low self esteem. Physically, they appear clumsy and less interactive among their peers. Their mod of interaction appears to be an odd one that is observed where they depict specific behavior that appears to be restricted to them. Inattentiveness is caused by a variety of factors and it should not be assumed that it begins in class since there is a possibility that it begins outside the class and only extended to the classroom setting. For instance, when children are taken to the kindergarten, they are very eager to learn only to learn on information they are already aware of. This makes them learn faster than the average learner who needs to repeat several times in order to understand. With time the quick learners become less attentive to what they already know ignoring the new information that is likely to be derived. He average learners on the other hand find this to be demanding and brain numbing and with time they also become inattentive. Failure to fix the problem will definitely result to poor performance among the affected students. This may go ahead to affect the whole class and the teachers may find it challenging to provide a remedy. The students grow having a low self esteem which is of negative consequence to their life time (World Health Organization 12). They become poorly socialized in society and they are likely to become deviant as they lack the right morals and virtues that are expected of them as learners. They have a poor interaction phase which is not a positive output for them while in a learning institution. Their activities and interests tend to vary from the normal individuals and are mostly driven by their emotions and feelings. Their cognitive development is delayed and this in turn affects their attention in class and to information. . This explains why teachers have to be observant on realizing such issues among their students. There may not be an immediate remedy for the problem since it appears to be a slow developing disorder. An advisable remedy for the victims would be to undertake a behavioral therapy. Through the therapy, the victims are exposed to a psychopathology which aims at reinforcing in them a desired character trait and doing away with issues of inattentive. This is done based on the issues of classical conditioning where it is assumed that most of the behaviors of such individuals are as a result of the need to respond to certain situations which they tend to do unconsciously. They need to respond to the issue of already having the information or the brain numbing situations which make them lose concentration. Various forms of therapies have been advocated for and the most vital is the training of social skills in order to come up with an effective interpersonal form of interactions. This makes them find the importance of holding a conversation and why they should maintain an active mode of interaction. Students can also be provided with some entertainment in classes. It may not take much of their time but it helps to bring back the minds of the children to class. They become active and can continue with their lessons as usual (World Health Organization 8). For instance, they can take a break where an individual is asked to perform a skit in class with the aim of cracking a joke. It should be the responsibility to ensure that all the students participate actively as this will make them eager to come up with the next event. To some extent including entertainment in the class work events encourages creativity especially in decision making and participation in class events since they begin develop a high self esteem. The socialization process of learners is enhanced among the children especially when they try to come up with the entertainment for the next class session. Disorders can therefore not be avoided in the society but it is wise when those involved or the parents of the children suffering from the disability are able to come out and be helped (World Health Organization 21). This places the victims in a situation that they are able to reduce on the levels of anxiety. Obsessive interests are cut down and victims are taught on how to let their minds be busy. Repetitive routines have to be done away with so that the victims can learn to come up with other social groups that will improve social interaction. They can also undertake physical or occupational therapies which will be able to assist the sensory organs and motor organs to become active in the individual. However an objection exists for these recommendations as there seems to be no effective treatments for the syndrome as most medical practitioners have less data about it through which they can be able to establish a remedy (World Health Organization 23). Alternatively, parents may decide to change the school in which their children attend but it is advisable that they monitor closely the behavior of their children and whether it is likely to change. In cases where there are minor changes it is advisable that the situation be addressed by the right people in order to avoid impacting negatively on the child. A proposed remedy is to incorporate entertainment in the class sessions since it will help to make the children remain active throughout the following lessons. Work Cited World Health Organization.
