Canon 600D is equipped with advanced features and pictures of excellent quality that can outperform other types of cameras. The camera is very useful, and captivates both the novice and beginner photographers. Canon 600D Specifications The principle specifications of the camera cut across the sensor size, shutter speeds, and sensitivity of the sensor (ISO). Its resolution is 18 megapixel, has a CMOS sensor, and its image processor is DIGIC 4. This feature allows the camera to process images at a faster speed. The camera can shoot continuously for about 3.7 frames in a second. Canon 600D uses an APS-C CMOS sensor. Its DIGIC 4 processor is 14-bit. The aspect ratio for LCD screen and even the resolution are better classified. Some of the main specifications of this camera include the auto mode intelligent scene, 3.7 frames per second in any continuous shooting, full-HD EOS movie, a wide-area nine-point AF, on-screen features’ guide, creative filters, wireless control, a display of about 3.3 inches, and Basic +. It is capable of capturing the blue sky to obtain a beautiful smooth gradient in individual colours. The camera has got a distinguishing feature of an LCDnya screen. The camera’s LCD is both bigger and can be folded. The outputs produced by this camera include a composite video, component video, USB, HDMI, and 3.5 mm jack. The camera uses a 23 000 dot battery. With canon 600D, there are two main photo formats that can be made. These include the JPEG photo and the RAW whose size can go up to 5184 x 3456. The resulting video has an MOV video format whereas the resolution is 1920 x 1080. Memory cards of particular types can be used. These include: SDHC, SD, and SDXC. In terms of sensor sensitivity, the camera has got an ISO range of 100 – 6400. This can be expanded further to ISO 12800. Its 3.7 frames in a second make it easy to obtain several images at a very high speed. The images produced are accurately focused due to its extra-sensitive sensor central AF, and supported by the fact that it has a 9-point system for Auto Focus. The images that are taken are very easier to track. The high resolution allows it to capture the points of view in an easy way. The good thing about the camera is that you can take your own photo by simply rotating the screen by 360 degrees. Body and design As far as body and design of the camera is concerned, it has got a number of characteristics. These range from materials used, review screens, external and internal flash power, and connectivity to other devices. The camera is made of both plastic and metal. In other works, some parts are made of plastic, whereas others are metallic. The screen is touch, and has a powerful external flashing power. The camera body allows for interconnectivity to other devices such as microphone in, HD out, USB, audio out, and even memory card. Operation mode of Canon 600D There are different operation modes for Canon 600D. This includes the auto modes, manual modes, and video modes. The camera has more key functionality, such as WB and ISO. This makes it needless for anyone to access the main menu so as to change settings. The LCD screen is better and has an aspect ratio that is preferably large. The focal length of the lens allows for a super wide angle to support super telephoto. The focal length is adjustable to allow zoom, and can be fixed (Charlotte, 2011). Canon 600D is very compatible with all the EF lenses. It is also equipped with camera flash, wired remote, and allows for more than 60 lenses to be fixed on it. The Basic + technology enables the photographers to adjust the basic settings automatically. Price of the Camera A new brand of Canon 600D costs about $549.95. The main competitors for Canon 600D come from Nikon. It includes Nikon brands such as D5100, D3200. The other main competitor is Canon EOS 650D and Canon E0S 1100D. The screen that flips out makes the camera better than that of competitors. According to Julie (2011), Canon 600D is economical to use and is more beneficial in terms of finances because a person does not need to buy lens that have focus motors. Buying of such lens is expensive since lens is priced highly. The user can view from different angles, ranging from the highest corners to the lowest. This is due to the folding screen. The screen can be folded at 180 degrees to the back and 90 degrees to the front. The flash can easily be set and triggered from the Camera. The reason for easy folding of the screen is that Canon 600D has a wireless flash device, and does not require more triggers to enable operations. Advantages of Canon 600 It is capable of producing or recording videos that have got better interface and is very practical in its applications. When recording a video, the manual exposure settings can be used for efficiency purposes. Another advantage is that the camera has got a folding screen, thus allowing users to capture pictures from different positions. Its interface is both friendly and practical to apply. Its flash control is well integrated. The good thing is that the camera design is easy for beginners to use. It has a remote control, thus making its handling more improved. Disadvantages of Canon 600D Unfortunately, this camera does not allow auto focus during recording of videos.
