? Sense of Love Sense of Love The 3D Animation Framework Media The construction process Section Introduction My CW1 is a 3D animation framework media, specifically designed for my business needs. The creation is for marketing products that have not yet been built. The presentation is aimed at giving the reader an overview of the procedure used to create an animation. With sufficient knowledge gathered, one can be able to make sound decisions in each phase of the project and be assured of a successful outcome. The flash application model is important for the reason that mere words cannot properly advocate for the readers of the project. The paper will take a linear narrative model, where I will start of the application process, outline the steps in the middle of the body, and end the project at the publishing phase. Section 2: The step By step Tutorial Guide The Pre-production Phase Brief The first step in the pre-production step is gathering the information and equipment or requirements needed for the application. I first of all determined the different forms of playback that will be met by the animation. Some of the delivery formats that I considered include the following: Format Resolution (pixels) Frames per Second HDTV (1080i) 1920 x1080 30 HDTV (720p) 1280 x 720 30 DVD 720 x 480 29.97 Web 480 x 320 24 PowerPoint Video 800 x 600 24-30 CD-ROM 640 x 480 24 Print image (8.5” x 11”) 2550 x 3300 N/A Retrieved from, http://www.frameworkmedia.com/pdfs/animation_process.pdf From the above table, it is clear that different formats differ in resolution requirements. I was also required to have an absolute schedule time and a working budget range. I had to ensure that I provide a quality product in the scheduled deadline, so my aim was to decide on the design budget range prior to storyboarding. Style sheet This part of the pre-production phase included giving the details of graphic images used in my framework and motion graphic. Among the graphic images used were video footages, photographs, and illustrations to get the real image. Of significance also were PowerPoint presentations and supporting market content, prerecorded voice tracks, written narration scripts, court documents, and interviews with graphic experts to get the exact data required. It was essential to shoot video footage or take extra photographs during this period, specifically for complex procedures or animations that called for a high degree of realism and accuracy. Storyboard After I was through with the graphics details, my next step was to initiate the storyboarding procedure to establish what the actions of the graphics and how the animation will appear. I used various forms of storyboards, such as detailed drawings and napkin sketches, putting in mind the central visual elements at different points in the animation. In this context, I used the storyboard during the design and production step to generate all the assets and models essential for the animation. The storyboard was also necessary to ensure that all the necessities are met by the time the final animation is produced. A concept of importance that I considered was to set an approximated budget for my project before storyboarding. I used design decisions in the process to shun specifically difficult and unaffordable shots (frameworkmedia.com). Production Constructing the multimedia framework and applying the process The storyboard is now approved, and therefore the production phase sets in. My 3D dimension workflow and model is founded on Autodesk 3D max, a tool most often used in gaming and visual effects companies globally. During construction, the animation assets are modeled or drawn in a number of dimensions. I created my model from scratch in a 3d max. 3d models from the available CAD data to sped up the construction process. Finally, the 3d models illustrated the topology of the equipment that was finally animated. The degree of detail needed for the model was driven by the final resolution image and how near the camera was to the model and the ultimate animation. Recording the dialogues/sounds This step involves adding dialogues and sounds to the 3d scene. To control the presentation, sound was considered as an important element to create realism. Cameras were not left out to capture specific points of views. Even though visual effects were added as needed, including fire effects, lens flares, glows and fog, audio was the most significant. To record the sound that was to go hand in hand with the images captured, I brought the audio into flash. I opened my animation file, ensuring that all the layers that were not of any use were locked. To import the file into the flash, I followed the procedure: go to file, then import to library, then finally selected the suitable file, that is, the audio clip. In the library, there was the name of my audio file with a tiny speaker icon just after it, showing that it was an audio file. This is what made it easy to play and record the file in the preview window, through clicking the icon, “record” in the spot above the library list. Building the models, stick figures and background Basing on the storyboard that I used, my project required that a use some kind of simulation. I used particle systems to animate each and everything from smoke and steam to a total collection of surface-to-air projectiles. A physics simulation package was accurately used to reproduce inelastic and elastic collisions. Building the model took all my work far and calculated each pixel for specific frames, based on materials, sounds, images, and lighting. Animation By the start of this step, I had not animated anything. It was the most time consuming and interactive step of the production phase. Since my project is a product animation, my objective was technical accuracy My toolset offered various animation strategies, which yielded diverse results ranging from soft body deformation to stiff , linear motions. Post-Production Adding sound or video clips to the motion graphic sequence It was essential for me to change the sequence of shots in my animation to synchronize the visible images with a voiceover or to enhance the timing of the animation. I also put in mind the idea of editing as a vital step with the increase in the length of my animation and to balance the pace the data being produced to catch the interest of viewers without overwhelming them or moving at a speed they cannot stand. In this step, I combined multiple video inputs into one video track. I obtained this by using advanced blue screen keying to permit live action footage to be incorporated with computer generated videos. The phase included assigning special effects such as 2d particles as well a blur effects for both depth and motion of field. In addition, the phase included color correlation and video preparation for output to particular formats (frameworkmedia.com) Publishing the file Finally, my project took the uncompressed video to the step of converting it to the desired format for delivery. I used the Digital Signage delivery method with the flash video file format, which required that I publish it from the Flash authoring tool. Since the work is included in the production phase, it was extremely easy to generate various outputs from similar 3d models and animation. Section 3: Discussion on Process Problems encountered in the step-by-step guide The biggest challenge in the process was associated with video resolution, where high-definition footages raised the required degree of detail in the materials and models. I also had no accurate CAD models to be leveraged with my animation. To solve these, I used unique footages with little requirements and content. Types of animation used I utilized motion and shape tween because using tweening shapes, could enable me create an effect alike to morphing, thus one shape would appear to change into another over time. In addition, flash could tween the color, size, and location of shapes. Colors chosen I used red, yellow, and orange colors given that they are the warm colors in the color wheel. I decided to use two primary colors and one secondary color to for a perfect color scheme. The narrative theory My animation followed this theory, with everything coming out clearly. However, I considered maximizing the animation value by rendering hi-resolution print images for product packaging. Section 4: Conclusion I think the 64-bit is suitable for my flash application with the reason that particular intensive tasks like audio or video run smoothly and faster on this bit’s operating system. From a test carried out by phoenix to compare 64 bit and 32 but, it was found that the 64 bit performs better as compared to the 32 one in almost all cases. I would improve the adopters of the 64 bit because of the incompatibility problems that come about when plagued in the flash. This can be done by running the windows, downloading, installing, and running the CPU-Z to check for Intel processors. Alternatively, low resolution flash video can be developed for an interactive banner or application website. Hi-definition content can be rendered as commercials integrated on HDTV sets and channels Reference Sutton, MA, (2005). The 3D Animation Process at Framework Media, New York: Framework Media, Inc.
