The Narrative about My Exchange Program in Dubai My participation in the exchange program was due to a vote by my class. The consequent activity was an engaging interview that made me open to the participants. The destination was Dubai, one of the emirates that compose the United Arab Emirates. The following article illuminates the most significant experiences in the city. I was a witness of the skyscrapers that I see in the advertisements that enumerate the fly Emirates Company. The learning institutions also form part of the memoir. Other than the mandatory instances that we had to visit, the interaction with the students was for the best experience. The article speculates on the day-to-day activities and gives a detail as well as sensory statements in order to share firsthand information about my experience. Being a witness of the best hotel in the whole world and participating in the training sessions of the universities that made my visit was exceptional. The first day entails the trip to Dubai. The reason for my participation in the exchange program was the provisions that my university had to offer. However, the sight of Dubai made a change to all the casual involvement in the program. The city was beautiful, and the sound of traffic made me see how busy the population was at that very moment. The skyscrapers of Dubai were just incredible. The highest building Burj Khalifa, was now a gesture that I had previously seen on pictures (Dubai). The building was tall and the tip that was the crest of the building made me wonder the height of the building. Our guide a native who had bright colored attire. The guide put forward that the Dubai was one a composition of the UAE. The most probable factor was that the beautiful city was the most popular of the eight nations that form the United Arab Emirates. The guide told me that Dubai was a center of business. The guide also wore an attractive perfume that was indigenous. The Burj Khalifa had a height of 828 meters. After a while, the guide took me to the one of the best hotel in the city. The Burj Al Arab Jumeirah was our stop. The hotel is the face of Dubai in the tourism as well as the hospitality advertisements. The hotel has a sail like appearance. The structure is a mixture of blue and white. The building according to the guide is an actual symbol of the modernity that attributes to the city. There was a private point for the reception for each floor. The smell of the food was very charming, and the sight of the interior was comforting. The guide also took me to the top of the building. The city was epic from the view point. The city was subtle, and people were as small as ants. After the hotel visit, the guide took me to the first university that we were to visit. The university had the same size of the schools back at home. The universities also had a significant population telling from the busy students who were moving from place to place. The environment was also green, and the campus buildings were beautiful. The name of the university was the University of A Dubai. On entering the administration offices, there was a difference in the temperature. The place was cooler than outside, and the lighting was probably for a serious working environment. The place was also silent, and the reception was not busy. The receptionist came forward to give us a warm welcome. According to her, the main perspective of the exchange program was not a matter of academic gains only. On the contrary, the program had a holistic view. There was the exchange of culture. As she was talking, another student came in, and the receptionist said he was one of the student leaders, and he would take us around to our place of interest. The first stop was a class session. The tutor was teaching the unit in English. The tutor had an indigenous ascent, but the fluency was all right. Most of the students were Arabic of their complexion and the dressing of the females. However, there were other students who were black and others were white. The class was, therefore, a mixture of all races, and that was the most prominent aspect to attach on the use of the English language as a mode of communication. The session took approximately one hour. At the end of the session, the tall tutor told as to introduce ourselves to the class. After the introduction, the student representative of the unit spoke for the whole class. He said we were welcome for the other sessions, and he would assist us in making friends in the category. After some days, I was aware of the practices around the campus. The Arab students were taking Islam as a compulsory course. However, non-Islamic students did not take the course. The other instance was the games that the students had in the evening just before sunset. The institution had a strong team that had proper coordination. The sunset was also very romantic since everyone had a view from the playground. The playground had an excellent look at a floor carpet that was green in color. The equipment’s were proper. During some occasions, the training sessions could go up to eight in the night. After some days on the campus, we made a visit to other three schools. The scenario was similar although the structures were unique. The institutions also had different backgrounds. In one campus, Arabic was the primary language for teaching in most of the sessions. The institution had almost all Arabic and Muslim students. However, some of the sessions were in English. In conclusion, the program was one of the exciting activities that I have had a chance to take part in my life. The memories that I have of the skyscrapers are still vivid and creates a smile every time I remember them. The interaction with the students was also very friendly, and the schools were beautiful. The night I spent in the learning, institutions were exceptional. The rooms were the size of hotels and the expression of luxury on the furniture was evident. The taste of the food was excellent service. I also took time to participate in the morning prayers that the Christian Union on the campus had on Wednesday morning at five. The attendance was good with a substantial turnout. The music tunes were in Arabic as well as in English. The congregation also sang hymns that I was familiar with from my childhood. The feeling thus made me remember my childhood. The traffic was smooth, and the security around Dubai was notable. The police officers were mostly men and were mobile courtesy of vehicles that had the resemblance of the police in New York. The security instance made me feel at home, and the city view made me feel like a tourist. The smell in the hotels made me hungry, and the rooms that I spent my nights in gave me a sense of satisfaction. The amble welcome from the students depicts the rich culture of the people of Dubai. The dressing code among the civilians shows respect for religion which is a core determinant for the rich culture. Interaction with the natives of Dubai revealed a polite side of the people that is key to prosperity of the tourism sector. Therefore, spending time away from home and school was enjoyable, and I would probably like to go back and pay another visit to Dubai. Works Cited Dubai, AEEDC.
