Corporate culture

The business will have a professional workforce environment, but since it is in its early stages, employees will need to make much more interaction with customers based on the business location at residential where most customers stay around.

Customers with interest on outside catering will be given one or two employees depending on the need that is to be catered for while the owner will be permanently stationed within the business premises at working hours.

Leadership Philosophy

Since the owner is equipped with hospitality and management skills, he will be the manager and responsible for day-to-day activities that involve the business. During the high school years, the owner worked in a coffee shop in his neighborhood and used to buy seeds from a certain local roaster, in addition, he is a heavy coffee drinker himself and the job opportunity allowed him to learn and be experienced since he ended up being the café manager.

Job description

Evening Coffee Shop will have to two employees who will serve as Baristas and as well be involved in cake duties at consecutively. The owner will work as the cashier and as well as the manager to make customers comfortable and ensure a sociable and friendly environment. He will ensure the employees are relevant amid tight busy hours and personal bad moods.

Employees will ensure coffee and cake equipment’s are clean at every unused period and make the arrangement and cleaning of tables and chairs when customers are not around.

Barista

He/ She will ensure that every customer is educated on our services and products, and he, she must follow all Evening Coffee Shop procedures and recipes. Welcomes all customers in a friendly, organized and master frequent customers names and the type of drink they commonly use (Zahn, 1131-1132)

On qualifications and physical demands, entry-level position will be required. He/ she must maintain professional attitude and positive Evening Coffee Shop morale. Should posses excellent verbal and with good written skills, feel or handle objects effective and efficiently, good reaction with arms and hands.

Baker-

He/she can observe the color of baked cake and adjust oven humidity, temperature and conveyers speed. Must know how to measure flour or other ingredients to prepare fillings, dough or even batters using graduated containers or scale. Must know how to check equipment’s on health and safety regulations standards.

On qualifications, minimum entry level is required fro the candidate. He/ she must posses good and effective communication and written skills. Must be a problem solver.

Training employees

Training will be off-the- job, and it will depend on working experience of the employees in terms of profit generation. The owner will set aside some funds after every six months for training. A specialist will be required to address on hindering issues on Evening coffee Shop and he will give training on the necessary fields when found necessary to enhance job productivity.

After business expansion, employees will be attending seminars on job service and out of job training in sessions.
