 Introduction Puerto Rico is territory of United States. It is a very beautiful island having 100miles length and 35 miles breadth. This island is surrounded by many small islands. Huge number of people resides in this island and its surrounding island. The pleasant climate and scenic beauty of this place attracts many travelers and tourist. Therefore tourism and hotel business is very popular here. I have made a plan to open a business of Cruise Inn in Puerto Rico. I will name my Cruise Inn as B&B Cruise Inn. This Cruise Inn will be designed to entertain friend and family owned stay. The location of this inn will be near the port Puerto Rico. In this assignment paper I have mentioned and discussed different issues and factors which will play a vital role in establishing and developing my company. In Puerto Rico there is a rapid growth of tourism industry. Cruise Inn is one of the important parts of this business which provides different kinds of luxurious facilities to tourists. Cruise Inn enhances the holiday experience of tourists in this location. In this case study I have discussed various strategies which I will implement in different business level for establishing my company. Building relationships Effective brand building measures will help B&B Cruise Inn to make customers aware of its Inn and attract them to spent holiday in this Cruise Inn. Strong relationship with its targeted customer will help the company to grow its business. Different objectives of the company will help to develop brand building activities. Vision Long term objectives of B&B Cruise Inn are described in its vision statement. The long term objectives of the company will be to establish this Cruise Inn as one of the luxurious Cruise hotel in Puerto Rico. The company will aim in providing excellent quality of services to its customers for making they stay memorable. All of these visions will help my company to develop different strategies and work functions effective for fulfilling its goal and objectives. Strong vision statement will influence my company to improve its service quality according to the needs and desire of targeted customers. Mission Mission statement will explain the main purpose of my company and its employees to perform business functions. Mission statement of B&B Cruise Inn will be to focus on customer satisfaction level. Provide them such a good experience for which tourist will be interested to spent their vacation in B&B Cruise Inn with their friends and families. The companies highly trained staffs is always ready to serve the customers. These mission statements will contribute a lot in satisfying its customers. It will help the brand to develop strong relationship with the customers which will make the brand successful in market of Puerto Rico. Stakeholders Stakeholders of B&B Cruise Inn will be divided as internal and external stakeholder. Its internal stakeholder will be its employees. They will provide high quality of service to the customers which help the company to get success. The company’s external stakeholders will be its customer and its different suppliers. Customer’s positive feedback regarding B&B Cruise Inn will contribute a lot in establishing a good position in the market. Positive feedback will also attract more customers to the company. Suppliers of B&B Cruise Inn play a vital role in developing the company by supplying high quality of food product and different other things which are required in Cruise Inn to satisfy its customers. Ethical accountability B&B Cruise Inn will follow high standard of ethical accountability in its business operations. The ethics of the company will be to implement all rules and regulation by not harming the company’s culture. The company will follow honest ways to perform its business activities. It will treat all of its staffs equally. Satisfying its customers by providing standard or high quality of product and service will be a vital ethical rule of the firm. B&B Cruise Inn will provide the service as it says (Bamberger and Meshoulam, 2000). Various strategic decisions will be implemented by the company but it will not hamper environment or any types of natural resources. B&B Cruise Inn will also perform its corporate social responsibility by helping the society. According to ethical rules of the company its corporate governance will be designed. International awareness/Marketing PESTEL Political: The Island has a republican form of government. This type of government encourages trade and business of the country. Hotel industry is highly benefited by the political condition of the place. It is growing industry which contributes a lot in growth and development of the Island’s economy. For this reason the political system of this place supports the development of Cruise Inn. Economic: Puerto Rico has a good economic condition. Most of the people of this island have high income level. So their spending capacity is also high. Therefore industrial development is significant in this place. Good economic condition supports the growth of Cruise Inn. Social: society of this place is characterized with many types of people belonging from different community. Culture of the place highly promotes travel and tourism business. People residing in this society are educated which enhances the growth of Cruise Inn. Its cosmopolitan population is interested in to avail different luxurious service (Henry, 2011). Technological: Different advanced technologies are used in this Island. It helps to implement different modern facilities which contribute a lot in the growth and development of the place. Technological advancement facilitates easy access in Puerto Rico. Environment: Puerto Rico has a very good environment which attracts large number of tourist and travelers to spend their vacation in this island. Business environment of this island also favors in establishing B&B Cruise Inn. Legal: Different strict rules and regulation of this place helps to maintain law and order properly. As a result industrial development is happening very fast in Puerto Rico. PORTER Bargaining power of buyers: B&B Cruise Inn will provide luxurious service to its customers. They will have a moderate bargaining power because customers in this industry focus mainly on quality of product and services. Bargaining power of suppers: Suppliers of this place have a high bargaining power. This is because Puerto Rico is a tourist place (Leopold, Harris and Watson, 2005). There are many big hotels and Inns present in this island. They all have to depend on the suppliers of getting quality products and services. So the suppliers dominate the market. Thereat of new entrance: Many new companies are establishing their business of luxury hotel as huge number of tourists is coming to this island. So threat of new entrance is high, Threat of Substitute: Many luxurious hotels are also present in the market of Puerto Rico. They will act as a strong substitute of B&B Cruise Inn. Competitive rivalry: Some strong players are present in the market of Puerto Rico. They will be a tough competitor of B&B Cruise Inn. SWOT Strength: The main strength of B&B Cruise Inn is its huge amount of capital it is going to invest for establishing its business. Location of the Inn is also a major strength of the company. Weakness: The Company is new this line of business. It has a very little knowledge about the market. Less of expertise becomes a weakness for the company. Opportunity: Puerto Rico is experiencing a good market for tourism. Many tourists are coming to this island for experiencing good natural beauty. The Company will have an opportunity to develop its business by acquiring large number of customers. Threat: The Company will face major threat from its competitors who are present in this industry for a long period of time. B&B Cruise Inn will face serious problem in establishing its business. Leadership B&B Cruise Inn will need to have some leaders within the organization who will motivate its employees to perform their functions and activities effectively. These leaders will provide training to the employees of B&B Cruise Inn for delivering high quality of service. The leaders of this organization will play a vital role in organizing different teams within the company for dividing various works of Cruise Inn according to the skill and capabilities of employees. Leader will show the path by which the company will achieve its goal and objectives (Wintzer, 2007). They will implement different measures through which B&B Cruise Inn will create its position in the competitive market of Puerto Rico. Organization restructuring Relationship between strategy and organizational structure B&B Cruise Inn will follow centralized organizational structure. As an entrepreneur or owner of this company I will be on the top of its management system. Different department will be formed which will look after different business operations of the company. In every department there will be a manager and many staffs. The manager will be responsible for conduct departmental functions effectively. The managers of different departments will directly report to me. According to this organizational structure strategies will be designed for the company. I will implement different strategy for B&B Cruise Inn. Effective organizational structure will help the company to get benefits from its strategies. Social awareness/responsibility Social awareness is a vital issue that the company should take into consideration for establishing its business. B&B Cruise Inn will spread social awareness regarding environmental development. The company will implement strategies which will promote green tourism. Puerto Rico is famous for its natural beauty. Therefore to develop its business the company will make an effort to save and protect the natural beauty of the place. B&B Cruise Inn will be established near the port. The company will make a contribution for maintaining and cleaning the port. It will help B&B Cruise Inn to attract more tourists. Strategic leadership The company will follow participative leadership process for implementing different strategie4s. In participative leadership process different members of the company will take part in business operational process. Their opinion and ideas will be important for B&B Cruise Inn for establishing different strategies. In this leadership process many teams will be formed within the firm who will contribute in the growth and development of the company. These teams will have a leader who will assist team member to participate in various strategies and work of B&B Cruise Inn. Strategic planning/leveraging Levels and types of strategy For establishing this company I will implement the strategy of providing free breakfast and snacks to my customers for a specific period of time. I will also implement a strategy of providing a tour facility to them to some nearby tourist destinations at a very low cost. B&B Cruise Inn will have gym and spas. The guests who are staying here will have a free access to spas and gym. All of these business level strategies will help the company to attract many customers. I will implement operational level strategy which will contribute a lot in delivering high quality of services to the guest. One of the important operational level strategies will be using technology for delivering quality services. People now a days are very much tech savvy. So using of advanced technology in its service operation will help B&B Cruise Inn to satisfy its guests easily. Conclusion According to this case study there are several factors which a person needs to consider for establishing his company in the Island Puerto Rico. This island is a territory of United States. It’s beautiful scenic beauty and pleasant climate attracts many tourists. Establishing B&B Cruise Inn will be very advantageous because high flow of tourist will help the company to develop its business. The firm will provide high quality of service to its customers for giving them a memorable and luxurious experience. Different strategies will be implemented by the company to attract more customers. B&B Cruise Inn will develop a centralized business process where strategies will be implemented at different business level. Various environmental factors will play an influencing role in the growth and development of the business. Puerto Rico is a developed country. Income level of the people is high. So B&B Cruise Inn can make its business successful by applying effective business measures. Mission and vision of the organization will contribute a lot in achieving its business objectives.
