Developing a skill in industrial sales has been attracting me since my initial days of my career. While doing a management degree, I have been developing my different abilities to develop my marketing skills. As I possess efficient communication skills, I have developed my abilities to perform. I can easily march up with different people and communicate easily (Frydrychowicz, 2005; Krauss & Fussell, n.d.). This has enhanced my abilities to perform different tasks and develop abilities to tackle people from various sectors of the society. Being fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, I can effectively communicate with a Chinese consumer and effectively deal in the local market. Since, I have worked with one of the major industrial sector in China I have an idea of the different industrial goods that are traded in the country. Analytical Record Advancing Career Development Neil Pyper is the lecturer of advance career development during the 2014/15 curriculum. The lecture has been focused on developing graduate jobs and developing employability skills. Furthermore, the lecture has been tactfully developing the different career pathways and enhancing the ability of the students to develop their career. The lecture specifically emphasises the development of individual students to cope up with the changing workplace and work environment. The lecture focuses on the development that is to be incorporated within an individual to develop their attributes to meet with the changing needs of the work environment for building better competiveness in the present competent job market. The lecture even effectively prepares the students to meet with their career aspiration and develop different attributes for them to perform effectively. The lecture note on the career development has enhanced my attributes to meet with the changing environment and develop effective skills to meet with dynamic needs of the work environment. This has enhanced my abilities to face with the different technical development that has been incorporated in the work environment. The idea of preparing web-based CVs and preparing a career plan as well as a timeline has enhanced my ability to monitor my career path and improve my job opportunities effectively. Entrepreneurship The lecture provided by David Wick during the curriculum elaborates on the effective development of different attributes that will enhance an individual’s abilities to perform. This will enhance individuals’ abilities to perform and develop their entrepreneurship abilities. In addition, individuals possessing entrepreneurship abilities are able to formulate different strategies in relation to organisational development plans. Furthermore, the different development that must be incorporated within the system will enhance an organisation’s ability to perform. This will further develop the performing abilities of organisations by developing their ability to perform in different sectors of a society. This lecture has been effectively supporting individuals’ development that is related to development of entrepreneurship skills. Furthermore, the lecture even provides different attributes that are required for developing the basic phase of a business and develop organisational ability to perform. Additionally, by developing a better understanding of the different organisational development plans would facilitate in making appropriate decisions in a business. This has influenced my cognitive development to develop a new business, develop skills in effective management of my innovative skills and take eminent steps to develop my career. This would further enhance the employable skills and enhance my aptitude to prepare for a start-up program to start a business. The lecture even provides an insight towards the development of a social enterprise workshop and enhances an individual’s ability for idea generation. Finding New Leaders Development of leadership has been observed to be an effective step to develop the abilities of individuals to manage different attributes and develop their individual abilities to perform. This will enhance the ability of the individuals to have a better understanding about the different changes that are occurring in the environment. In this context, an individual having knowledge about changes is able to develop his/her abilities to perform. The idea of different products as well as services will enhance the ability to trade for the products and develop a better insight towards formulating different planning. The idea of different sectors will help in enhancing different attributes to manage a company’s attributes. Furthermore, the development of different attributes that include respect, motivation, management and decision making among others will enhance the global mind-set of individuals and enhance the ability of the individuals to develop their ability to meet with the global environment. The development of the leadership abilities will enhance the capability of an organisation to perform. In this regard, the capability of individuals to incorporate different changes that they need to implement to maintain their sustainable growth will be enhanced with the development of leadership skills. Accordingly, I could develop my individual abilities to perform and enhance my leadership abilities to meet with the changing needs of the present business scenario. Professional Networking I have been enhancing my attributes and knowledge about the different networking websites to be developed with the effective support to develop my career. The different websites that are available in the different job portals influences job hunting among the young aspirants providing them with an important support to display their skills. These job portals provide important information in relation to different job opportunities and job criteria among the aspirants. This would even effectively develop a better understanding among the employers as well as job seekers. The networks act as an effective medium that adjoins different needs of employees and employers. The professional networks help in aligning organisational requirements with the ability of the graduates to meet with such changes. Furthermore, different job portals provide knowledge about the changing organisational landscapes based on which students are able to develop different individual needs to meet with changing environment. I have even created my profile in different job portals to have a better job opportunity with my developed abilities to compete in this challenging environment. LinkedIn has been one of the largest professional networks in the world. The company has been effectively managing its network across 200 countries in the world. The profile in the portal will enhance my access to different countries across the globe and develop credibility to compete in the global domain. Furthermore, the profile that I have created in the job portal gives a detailed outline of the different strength and weaknesses that I have, which helps me find the best place to develop my career on the basis of my competency level. I have been personally using the portal to develop my personal aptitude and have been enhancing my ability to perform. I have been continuously updating my personal skills and abilities in relation to communication and leadership among others. Additionally, the job portal has assisted in developing effective communication with different key recruiters operating across the globe. This has effectively helped in developing my interpersonal and communication skills. This development is likely to support me in effectively managing different professional requirements. Furthermore, the profile has enhanced my abilities to understand the different needs of the present day industries and develop my skills accordingly. With a better understanding of the different needs of the workplace environment, I have been effectively enhancing my ability to compete and develop my personal as well as professional skills. Analysis of Strength and Weaknesses I have been developing my skills in an efficient manner to meet with the changing needs of the workplace and compete with the challenging environment in the present business domain. To meet with the different changing needs and to effectively meet with the changing needs of the society, I have been enhancing my communication abilities to meet with the societal needs. Furthermore, I have effective communication skills and can easily communicate with any type of people belonging to any sector and any part of the society (Frydrychowicz, 2005). This effective communication ability has enhanced my personal growth and developed my credibility to understand the different needs of the people belonging to different backgrounds. This has created a positive approach towards managing the different needs of the society as well as the consumers, which have been the prime need of the society. Moreover, the different outdoor activities that I have been involved with have increased my competency to tackle different fields of people and even effectively handle sentimental issues related to manage other individuals. Moreover, I have an experience in accounting field for being associated with accounting profession. I have knowledge in operation Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint. Furthermore, different leadership abilities that I have developed during my exposure to summer internship and job profiles that include finance department and chief accountant’s assistance have enhanced my ability to perform and created a positive impact on my personal development. Different leadership abilities are even developing my personal skills and enhancing my cognitive abilities to meet with the different changes within the workplace. Communication abilities have enhanced my credibility to develop interpersonal skills and manage different situations within the organisation. Different leadership abilities that I posses will develop my effectiveness to meet with the changing needs in the professional domain. Additionally, I have been managing my different leadership attributes to meet with the needs of the changing work environment. Parallel to the development of my strengths, I have been effectively mitigating my weaknesses to develop my abilities to compete. My major weakness is my lack of patience and curiosity. For mitigating my problem relating to patience, I have been undergoing different meditation programs and developing the control on my nerves. This has effectively increased my level of patience and developed my ability to manage adverse situations. Furthermore, for my weakness regarding curiosity, I have been effectively increasing my knowledge to minimise my level of curiosity. This process has enhanced my ability to develop my knowledge base and has increased my effectiveness in continuous learning. Development of knowledge management has enhanced my ability to meet the changing needs of the workplace. Furthermore, has made me capable to develop my cognitive skills to meet with the changing environment of workplace. Action Plan The action plan depicts the different steps that I will be adopting to integrate different learning skills I have gathered during the course and curriculum to develop my skills, and effectively manage the different attributes for employability. The involvement of the personal tutor would enhance my ability to meet with the different needs of employment. Development of the personal skills could be enhanced by managing different attributes and through proper monitoring. Furthermore, faculty employability will be providing an opportunity for organisational exposure. The different knowledge and skills that I have developed during my curriculum process will helps me developing a better insight towards the labour market and enhance my credibility to perform. With greater opportunity to develop my career, I will be able to cater to the different needs of the work environment and meet with the different challenges of the society. These skills will help in developing significant work experience and enhance my ability to develop my potential skills. With further development of the different attributes, I will be able to meet with the different challenges that are faced during employability for developing my competitive advantage.
