 Similarities of Business Culture Introduction. Business organization structures define how activities run in a business. In fact, the coordination, job allocation and the supervision are overseen by these business structures. In addition, the reason for these business structures is to achieve the organization goals; either long term or short term. However, these organization structures and cultures have their differences and their similarities. On the other hand, business culture is the beliefs, values and attitude that guide a person on how to work in any given organization. Evidently, business culture is a bigger umbrella that hosts the different types of business organization structures. Similarities of business culture. Evidently, all the cultures are designed to make sure that all the goals are accomplished within the allocated time period to ensure that the business run within the acceptable time frame and no loss will be incurred. For example, the power culture ensures the maximum stuff turnover which help in work force utilization which in turn ensures the goals are achieved. Consequently, role culture helps assign different people different roles which help in decentralization of the work force where people are assigned roles according to their specialization. In addition, all cultures help improve the stuff workforce since they enjoy what they are doing and hence good performance of the products. For example, role culture improves specialization and time culture encourages working within a time limit and if on works in his area of specialization, time culture will be manifested. Differences of business cultures. However, there are a number of differences in the business cultures. From the definition of the different types of the cultures we can clearly see the differences. For example, the personal culture focuses on personal values. That is, charities and social activities that a person engages in while power culture is for the official office holders like the managers who enforce rules to the workers. Furthermore, while role culture involves specialization of the workforce, task culture involves team work hence role culture is of personal growth and task culture is of a group people. Similarities of organization structures. It is clear that all the decisions made in a business setting are to increase the sell and increase the profit margin. Similarly, the organization structures are made to make sure the outputs of the business are at maximum. For example, the workforce specialization increases output since every worker holds a position he is best suited. Furthermore, departmentalization structure ensures that the output increases since different departments hold different production process. In addition, all the business structures ensure accountability of the work and the business assets. For example, workforce specialization structure makes it easier to locate who caused an error in the output while departmentalization ensures that every department is accountable to their work. Differences of the organization structures. Similarly, there are a number of differences in the organization structures. For example, in departmentalization structure every department is assigned a different process in the output production while in workforce specialization every worker is given a job he is best suited. Secondly, in the span of control structure it ensures that managers actually perform their duties as stated in the organization constitution while in the chain of command structure it ensures that the proper line of authorities in the organization is followed. Why structure and culture should complement each other. Clearly, for a business organization to blossom the business culture should blend in well with the business structures. This is to ensure that no clashes of duties occur and that the process of production runs smoothly. For example, the chain of command structure should be in line with the power culture. In fact, they should be like siblings because for the power culture to be in full effectiveness the proper chain of command and the proper line of duties is followed. Secondly, the business organization will give good quality products if the business structures are in line with their business cultures. For example, if we take a structure like workforce specialization where everyone is given a job he is best suited and take the role culture, these two should blend in together because without role culture there is no workforce specialization. How values, perception, cultures, structures and personalities influenced management As stated above, culture is the values and personalities that guide a person to work in an organization. Evidently, these cultures influence management of an organization either positively or negatively. For example, in Oticon company when the new management was introduced it made sure that the profit increased. In addition, this was shown when specialization was decentralized and everyone was given his role in the production process hence power culture. Personalities also ensured that the Oticon Company increased its profit. This was seen when the people working in the company embrace the hard working sprit which in turn made the profit increase. However, if the personality of the workers remained the same, the business could have deteriorated. In addition, in the Nice cars company when the manager was changed he made sure that he introduced the working spirit and came with a different personality to the company hence profit increment. Consequently, a structure also influences the business organization. For example, workforce specialization makes sure that the production is of good quality hence profit increment. for Oticon Company where specialization was practiced to the fullest, it did boost the profit margin by a great deal.
