Management: How has project management enriched your understanding of principles of Project Management?The study of project management as a discipline has enabled the understanding of the basic concepts and phenomenon associated with it. Project management is a complete discipline in its own that has its own tools, techniques and other principles that are to be taken into account for better outcome of the activities and functions. In my understanding of this subject, it has enabled me implementing them in the different daily activities and functions that are undertaken in an organizational environment.

The processes, techniques, tools provide sufficient knowledge of the different areas and domains in which they can come in handy. Enabling me to prioritize my work, knowing the use of right kind of technique in the right place, and handling the sub ordinate staff according to the need, and responding to the top management call and orders are few of the areas that have been facilitated through the effective presence of project management as a discipline (Russell, p. 131). When it comes to future of P.

management, propose two areas that may influence the future of? In the future context, project management finds its application and a very promising future. It will find its application in different social and academic fields of study and practical implementation. Two major fields that may see progress and development in this regard include the field of sociology. Sociology integrated with the project management would allow for the better understanding of the people’s problems and concerns.

It will allow for handling the people and work staff in a more designated and more organized manner. The previous centuries were flawed on account of the theory of functionalistic approach where there was little regard and space given to the human element. Integrating the humanistic approach into it will allow for making a more effective network of project management tools and techniques. This will also facilitate more expansion with regard to the better working mechanism in longer run. Project management and its relation to the management field is nothing new and throughout the decades it has found its application and in turn has benefited the overall process of development and project completion.

Determine how leaders should integrate fun activities? Provide two examples? The project and organization is like a family and an education system. Each of these require work being performed but at the same time they also demand the recreational element being taken care of. Leaders within the organization must make sure that the fun part is keep intact and that it is made an integral part of the organizational frame work. This can be done so through the different activities undertaking and incorporation.

Providing them with the means of facilities such as indulging them in sports activities, providing them with hiking camps and other recreational activities, all these will foster a friendlier environment based on better outcome extraction. This will also help with regard to the mutual understanding and good relationship building between the top management, middle management and the staff rank employees and this will help creating a good working relationship between them. Weekend outing with the company, and working on the promotional campaign and challenging the thought process were two examples that I came across in my working days.
