Personal of Conduct As I slowly come to the completion of my educational career, I now have to face the reality that I will be entering a professional world where I will no longer be guided by the same rules and regulations that applied to my student life. Those rules that were established by an authority figure to help guide and mold me into a responsible and respectable human being. With the absence of these General Behavior Guidelines, I must now create a personal code of conduct that shall guide my future career path. They are the people whose presence in my everyday life gives me a sense of purpose and being. All of my activities and behavior in life have a direct impact on their own lives which is why I must always conduct myself in a manner that shall portray them in a good light and in the process allow people to see me as an exemplary human being. I shall always be helpful and of assistance to the people in my community regardless of race and gender. I shall not discriminate against my fellow man for we were all put on this earth for a purpose and we all live in a symbiotic world.

Therefore, we need to help each other in order to survive. I can help put a smile on someone elses face by being neighborly and helping them feel comfortable when they feel lost or confused. By providing joy and happiness to other people, I shall achieve the highest point of personal fulfillment and career development. Professional Code of Conduct I must, at all times, comply with all city, state, and national laws and regulations that directly pertain to my line of business. I shall frown upon achieving the company business goals through the use of any under handed, questionable, and code violation means.

I will not permit any dealings that shall be in violation of public laws as these types of deals shall fail to pass the court of public scrutiny (Monet, M. “About How To Create A Personal Code of Ethics”). I must conduct myself in the most respectable and distinct manner. I must remember that I carry the name of the organization and is the physical representation of that name even when not acting in the performance of my duties. Therefore, I must always be conscious of the fact that I am expected to remain above board at all times and meet the most minimum standards as set by law at the very least during all my business dealings.

My professional and business actions must never be misconstrued in any way as a contravention of laws and regulations that directly govern my company functions and operations. I shall not engage in any activities that may be misinterpreted in any way. I shall be careful to avoid any business or personal dealings that may lean towards an interpretation of sexual harassment, nor shall I use any language that may be considered to be slanderous or libelous in nature. I shall perform my duties conscientiously, honestly, and in accordance with the best interests of my profession and business.

I will not use my position to gain knowledge or access information that may be used for a private or personal advantage. Should I sense that a course of action that I am pursuing or have pursued proves to be in conflict of interest with any of my professional codes of ethics, I shall immediately discontinue any form of working relationship with the person or entity that shall force me to violate the code. My relationship with my community shall have a direct bearing on the status of my professional career.

As such, I shall make a conscious effort to become an exemplary model of my community in accordance with my professional code of ethics. I shall have a readiness to participate in charitable, social, and civic activities that shall bring credit to my profession and business. I must however, prevent myself from acquiring any business interest or participation in any activities that may prove to be detrimental to my company or personal image. These activities include but at not limited to: 1. Any activity that shall remove me from practicing my profession and attending to important business dealings during working hours for any extended period of time. 2. Any activity that shall create a conflict of interest such as an obligation, interest, or distraction that may interfere with the independence of my professional practice and business functions.

In line with the activities that I am barred from participating in, there are also certain professional relationship limitations that I have set into place. I shall not accept any gifts or favors that may be used to influence or appear to influence my professional business dealings. Neither shall I provide any special attention or preferential treatment to any of my clients. In the interest of financial tranquility, I shall record any and all of my business dealings and financial growth in the proper manner as prescribed by law.

I shall use good judgment in recording reimbursible expenses in order to ensure that I will have received good value for every expenditure. I shall keep accurate and reliable records in various forms such as hard copies and electronic storage media in order to keep an accurate account of my professional and business activities should the need arise for clarification of my actions. I am solely responsible for record keeping and shall ensure the full disclosure and records of all my assets and liabilities or both, and exercise due diligence in the performance of this task.

I shall not record any false information within my company records whether internal or external. I shall keep my professional and business life separate. Therefore I shall not use any identifying company or professional materials when dealing with people on a personal level. This includes the use of the company ID, office stationery, supplies and other equipment on a personal or political level. On a professional and business level, I shall make every effort to achieve and complete client communications in a timely manner whether it be a professional inquiry or complaint.

Due to the delicate nature of my profession and business dealings, client information must be a closely guarded secret. therefore I shall not do any of the following without the prior written consent of the client: 1. I shall not collect, use, or retain any personal information of the client that is not relevant to our business at hand. I shall only obtain necessary information when required and use only reliable sources to supplement that information. 2. I shall only retain the personal information for as long as required by law in order to protect the physical representation of this information. 3. I shall limit the access of outside sources to the client information and share it only with those who need the pertinent business information when necessary.

I shall however, first obtain the written consent of the client prior to sharing this information with third parties unless required by law to do so. Personal Mission Statement Having finally reached a point in my life wherein I can give back to my community, I shall open a charitable senior citizen center for the underprivileged in my community. This Senior Center shall be funded by charitable donations and government grants or funds targeted towards the promotion of Senior Citizen well being and care.

Since my clients shall be the indigent of my community, I shall never show them a bad face nor treat them crossly because of their status in life. All my clients shall receive the same fair treatment that shall respect their emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical well being. Their personal well being shall the foremost concern for my center and I shall be open to their suggestions and recommendations for its further improvement since I wish to make their stay at my center a very enjoyable and memorable one for them.

Senior Citizens are not long for this world. Therefore, I shall allow my outgoing and loving character to shine as I deal with my Senior Citizen clients in order make them constantly feel loved, wanted, and special even if they be of feeble health and mind.
