The project managed to reach more than a half of event organizers across UK within six months of its launch. From the planned maximum coverage the project managed to appeal to more than a half. This shows a deviation of a half of the projected figure. But this is six months of the operation and in a year’s time the project should be in a position to reach the other half. The website offers some of the best venues to organising concerts across the UK, and this will assist the organisers to arrange concert in different localities. The website planned to have some of the best and appealing venues across UK so that organizers can find it easy when organising events. Within six months after launching the website we managed to get information about the venues besides getting into business arrangement and connections with the venues. There was no deviation between the original and the actual value because the website managed to identify some of the best event organizing sites across UK. The website will in addition enable rock fans and rock concert organisers to follow some of the best bands The website was projected to be in operation by 30th May 2012 and that it was to give information to offer e-ticketing services and to create awareness of each rock band in question. The website was successfully launched on 27th May 2012 and it managed to offer the ticketing services immediately. Rock fans can also allocate their favourite bands The stipulated time for the full operation and launch of the website was to be by 30th May. The website was managed to launch before the budgeted time and therefore the deviation was more on a positive note. 3) Objectives Identify the extent to which the project has achieved the objectives specified in the project charter by completing the following table: Objective Achievement Shortfall The website will offer the required information concerning the venues and how to organise rock concerts The website has managed to offer required information to fans, besides allowing rock fans, and rock concert organizers to follow best bands and to enhance their interaction. This can be confirmed by the sharp increase in the number of fans attending various concerts across UK. According to this specific objective it has been achieved because interaction is easier than before. Tracking the famous rock bands in their concerts and valuable information that would be handy organizing a successful concert. The website has made it easier for the organizers to track famous rock bands and therefore ease in reaching them any time there fans demand them. This has improved fan base and satisfaction. The minimal short fall here is that some rock bands are interested in going to specific concerts and avoiding others. So tracking them has not achieved a lot. To promoting rock concert to attract large ticket sales Since the launching of the website the ticket sales has doubled to most of the concerts. This can be attributed to the tracking of the rock bands and also improved interaction. Fans are sure of meeting their favourite rock bands. The full attraction has not been done because some rock bands only prefer to perform in particular concerts. Rock concert lovers will be able to buy tickets directly through the website and get a reference number that the fans will print to present at the entrance as a valid ticket. E-ticketing system has ensured increased attendance. Efficiency and cost effective in terms of administrative costs and time. This has been successful because large numbers of fans have been attracted. Previously group of fans were not attending concerts because of long queues. This has been successful though the few fans who have not fully embraced technology. The website will have streaming option where fans can stream and listen to the songs other rock band. A number of fans are in a position to listen to their best rock bands even if they do not physically attend the concerts. This has not been fully achieved because some of our fans are not technology savvy. On top of this there are some fans that do not have gadgets that stream the events live. The fans will be able to specify, identify and buy tickets for their favourable seats E-Ticketing has made it easier for the fan to book specific seats they are interested in. This has shown improvement in the number of fans who are attending concerts. This has been successful apart from a few people who have not embraced technology. 4) Scope Identify whether at any stage the project deviated from the original scope defined in the Project Specification Original scope Actual scope Deviation The scope of the website will include factors such as legal and regulations. All the concerts that will be streamed live will be subject to copy right. Security and safety information in most cases during performances will also be provided in the website and how to handle them. The reliability of the rock bands are also very important because they will influence the number of fans attending and visiting the website. The project has ensured that all the legal and regulation factors are enforced through subjecting all the events which are being streamed live under copy right. The security information has been always provided and therefore ensuring that the place is organised. Though the website is still challenged with the reliability issues with the rock bands. The issue of security has not been provided fully. There are one or two insecurity incidences during the performance.
