Quality Management System of the Company The of the company for which I am going to propose a quality management system is Hartman Industries, LLC. Quality Management System for Hartman Industries, LLC McGee (n.d.) states, “Quality management system is the processes that a company undertakes to ensure that it is producing goods and services that are of an acceptable quality”. I would like to propose ISO9000 quality management system for the company. ISO9000 is the combination of systems that are made for such companies or businesses, which are motivated towards bringing improvement in their manufacturing processes.

About ISO9000 quality standards, McGuigan (n.d.) states, “ISO9000 is a standard designed to help consumers and governments know at a glance whether a business conforms to a basic level of quality”. It is a common fact that when a company or any specific business does not have any proper implementation of a well-designed quality management system, it adversely affects not only the growth and development of the company but also the customer satisfaction. Therefore, it is essential for Hartman Industries, LLC to implement ISO9000 quality management system because it not only helps a company improve its manufacturing processes but also help managers gain competitive advantage in the market.

While talking about ISO9000, let us now describe its importance for Hartman Industries. Hartman Industries can apply the quality standards of ISO9000 quality management system in order to grow and gain success in the market. It can enable the company get a positive effect on investment, sales growth, sales margin and market share. Woodruff (2009) states, “Organizations that have implemented effective ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems (QMS), or in todays language, an ISO 9001:2000 QMS, have experienced numerous benefits”.

Some of the main benefits of implementing 1SO9000 QMS in the company include improvement in the manufacturing processes, increase in the level of customer satisfaction and retention, increase in profits, and increase in the company’s productivity. One of the most important and distinguishing features of the proposed quality system of Hartman Industries is systematic orientation. The basic motive of ISO 9000 is to bring international trade to the company. With the implementation of ISO9000 QMS, Hartman Industries will become able to determine the areas where the improvements are needed and the steps that are required to make those improvements.

To implement the ISO 9000 quality management system, Hartman Industries needs to determine the needs of the company and its customers. The management should be fully committed to improve quality of the manufacturing processes because a company can only achieve market domination by delivering quality products and services to the customers. Some of the main requirements of the ISO9000 quality management system include a good understanding of the ISO9000 standards, well-trained employees, and commitment of the employees towards their job responsibilities.

Hartman Industries will need to create awareness regarding the benefits of ISO9000 among the employees in order to prepare for the implementation of the quality management system. The company also needs to provide proper training to all employees to make them proficient in the use of the application of ISO9000 quality standards.
