This is because they have extensive understanding of the principles of organization, the need for division of labor and allocation of resources, and the necessity of a formal hierarchy in larger organizations (The Education Post 1). The ability to move into a management position or improve the current role in management is facilitated by the skills gained in communication skills, logical linear thinking and competence in leadership. The flexible curriculum in the Business Management major allows students to tailor their degree to fit their interests and goals as can be seen by the coursework. The coursework includes ethics at work, creativity and innovation, leadership and influence skills, introduction to international business negotiation, principles of management, organizational development and human relations (Rasmussen College 1). Majoring in business management is not just designed for graduates to achieve their best but also to lead team members to greater achievement through its course foundation of basic management and organizational behavior. Throughout the course, students participate widely and actively in networking, social and professional initiatives and activities to enhance leadership skills and emerge better qualified for future jobs. By collaborating classroom, community service projects and extracurricular club activities, the responsibility levels for different situations improve because they will experience the "reality" of such different situations. At the end of the course, graduates possess critical thinking and research skills and are highly adaptable so that they can work in and with diverse populations (AGCAS 1).
