Economic Growth in Africa - Essay Example

Foreign direct investors such as China and India have improved the economy of some African countries but have failed to address issues addressing an issue affecting the common citizens (Meier and Rauch, 2005). They have been seen to major on their self-interest of exploiting the resources in Africa in compensation of their aids loans they bring to such African countries. For instance, China and India invest in Africa due to their interest in exploiting African oil.The two foreign investor countries have brought much less to Africa.

This is seen by their acts of carrying their own labour and demanding compensation for every work, they have done (Meier and Rauch, 2005). This has reduced the skills of desperate African personnel and continuous rise in unemployment resulting in many youths engaging in domestic jobs. Therefore, it is the government’s initiative to ensure that there is a benefit in resource processing to ensure that people benefit and more jobs created.
