of California Personal ment. I have a strong conviction that we are for as longs we live as learningis a continuously occurring process. Education in my opinion is supposed to transform us and enable our services to the betterment of humanity. A quality education that emphasizes the need for all-round growth is what I believe in. my particular interest in the University of California is informed by the university’s mission of creating, disseminating, preserving and applying knowledge for the good of society.

The university’s value of promoting free access of information, open discussions and tolerance captures just my desire of learning in a diverse, free and challenging environment. I am therefore applying to the University of California because I believe it recognizes my goal of learning in an environment that fosters independence and participatory learning. My parents have always insisted on quality education and therefore took me to the best schools. They wanted me learn in environment that encourages all-round transformation on top of academic excellence for they believe our accomplishment are not measured by material prosperity but by our contribution to society’s wellbeing.

This culture was successfully inculcated in me and I have a strong believe in, independence, challenge and learning in an environment that stimulates critical thought, originality of scholarship and participation. I have learnt to appreciate the importance of diversity and as a student in the diverse & multicultural environment the University of California is, I believe will interact with people from different parts of the world with meaningful exchange of knowledge. The culture has made me a disciple of knowledge and would work hard not only to expand my academic knowledge base but also to understand how well I can apply my knowledge to the service of my society.

I have always worked hard and this enable me secure an opportunity to study at the Los Angeles, CA. this was a particularly enriching environment; being and born and raised in Indonesia, my first days in America were both challenging and interesting. Being in a country far away from home, learning a new language and learning with other students from different parts of the world made me appreciate the power of challenges in the transformation of humans. The experience taught me to be independent, appreciate different cultures and I hope to come with these strengths to UC which should enable to really enjoy my graduate experience at the university.

I am an active and outgoing person and enjoy participating in games, clubs and community events. Through clubs and academic forums I believe there is the opportunity of interacting with other students, professors and the entire campus community with invaluable exchange of knowledge. Also as a sports person I get the chance to not only interact but also enhance my own health both physically, mentally and psychologically. Such opportunities are particularly important to my growth process as a student.

I will therefore be taking advantage of the available facilities at the university to grow academically, professionally and socially so as to graduate a completely transformed person ready to serve humanity.
