How to expand and improve the market of preschool education and adult education Executive summary Everyone necessitates knowledge for development and subsistence in the contemporary business environment. The purpose of this plan is to exploit the business opportunity available in preschool and adult education system. The venture involves setting up of spacious and improved modern learning institution. The adult education will advance the literacy level in illiterate adults (Ontario et al. 22). This project requires a considerable amount of money to set up. The approximate total expense of constructing and equipping the facilities is $35,000. The early childhood education will enable kids grow socially and develop perfect communication skills. The education system will also enable mothers to go to work as their babies are attended to by the school care team. The project is an excellent business idea that can be exploited and the business made to flourish in just a short period. The business will see numerous success in this field as the level of competition is low at present. The expected monthly profits from these two education systems are 5000 dollars per month at the initial phase. Therefore, investors are highly encouraged to venture in this project and boost its progress and growth. Introduction Preschool education focuses on taking care of kids on behalf of their parents and teaching them simplified basic education. These kids, apart from learning, will be fed and cleaned in these schools. Adult education entails providing knowledge to people of over eighteen years old and with low education level. These people are taught how to write, read and do a simple calculation (Young 45). They can also be educated on various topics regarding life such as health, hygiene, and agriculture and drug abuse. A successful adult education system requires a properly planned, well organized and working program. Preschool and adult education is a new business opportunity in the modern world and should be exploited (Samson et al. 15). Currently, this system of preschool and adult education has already seen some success in different parts of the world. However, this sector needs to be expanded and improved remarkably. The expansion can include setting up fully equipped school with buildings and all the facilities as well as enough staff to carry out all the activities of the institution. The idea is to come up with an institution that will cater for both children and adult classes simultaneously (Unesco, 51). The institutions can be combined or built separately depending on the available land. These institutions will offer both education and other services such as provision of meals and drinks to the students. The future prospect of these institutions is very promising because everyone in the current world is yearns for knowledge (Anning, Cullen, and Fleer, 37). To the young career mothers, it is an excellent opportunity as they can get adequate time to attend to their jobs without having to worry about a nanny. The increasing number of career women has led to an even earlier age introduction of kids in preschool education at a very tender age of less than 3 years old (Anning, Cullen, and Fleer, 39). The older people who have less education are also so ready to embrace these services so that they are not left behind in the fast transforming world. These institutions need a management and leadership structure. A patron, chairperson and Committee members are the key players in the management structure of the institutions. The principal will also be included in the management board and will serve as the secretary. The students are expected to pay fees ranging from $15 to $70 per month (Anning, Cullen, and Fleer, 33). Marketing strategy There is high demand for preschool and adult education in every community in today’s world. The establishment of preschools and adult education was facilitated by recent studies that revealed that adult education greatly enhances life (Abrams, 19). Market analysis of this venture demonstrates that there are countless customers prepared to acquire these services. All middle aged mothers or professional women who run a business are the most potential customers. These women barely have time to sit and nurse their kids at home. Parents also need their children to obtain education early enough. This is because preschool exposes children to play, gain social and communication skills, physical development, and expedient creative developments. The business targets a minimum number of 200 clients at the beginning, followed by rapid future growth if proper management is put into place. The institution will be set up in a place with high population to increase the number of customers (McKeever, 25). A densely populated area has more clients than sparsely inhabited areas. Critical review shows that urban areas are suitable for preschool education setups while upcountry or villages are suitable for adult education. In order to attract more customers, a parent with two kids will be given a discount of 20% on the total fees payable. On the other hand, adults will also be charged at a discount for anyone who registers a month before the start of teaching period. Additionally, a 15% discount will be given couples. In order to increase the publicity of the institutions, several marketing strategies will be employed. Such strategies will include advertising on radio, television, newspaper, posters, brochures and announcements in social gatherings, public relations, and personal selling (McKeever, 27). The area to set up the preschool training or adult education should be scrutinized for the presence of other similar institutions to avoid any feasible competition. Where competition is inevitable, the services offered by the institutions should be unique and exceptional. The institutions will focus on unique attributes such as offering meals and transport to the students. Financing the business The goals and objectives of this venture can be accomplished if all the necessary facilities and personnel have been put into place. The school will need to be modified to accommodate more students and upgraded to the extent of owning modern facilities needed for proficient training of the students (Anning, Cullen, and Fleer, 17). The initial capital required will be accurately determined through calculating total cost of purchasing a piece of land for construction, total materials for construction, cost of construction itself and price of all the facilities needed. Experienced employees to work in the school should also be paid in the first months before profits are realized. Teachers will have a basic salary of 300 dollars per month. The estimated number of all teachers in the preschool unit and adult education centre will be five. Other employees such as cooks and caretakers will be included and will earn $150 per month. The total cost of establishment of the institutions will be $ 35000 dollars. The initial establishment of the business will be funded through owner’s savings. After that, the owners will obtain a bank loan to fund the rest of the project (Young, 48). Resume of principal The principal will be a part of the management of the institutions. He or she must hold a master’s degree in early childhood education from a recognized university and possess at least two years of work experience (Abrams 18). This will assure quality management and quality service delivery. Experience boosts the relationship between the management and the children as well as the adult student. The teachers should also have at least two years of experience. They should be competent and preferably possessing undergraduate’s degree from recognized institution. The shareholders must hold either a degree or diploma from recognized institution. The patron should be a well renowned individual who will spread the name of the institution to wide geographical area (Unesco, 25). The management committee should be degree holders from recognized institutions. Works Cited Abrams, Rhonda M. The Successful Business Plan: Secrets & Strategies.
