An entrepreneur supply risk capital and monitor and control the business activities. The entrepreneur is usually a sole proprietor, a partner, or the one who owns the majority of the shares in an incorporated venture. The objective of this project is to analyze the process that how an entrepreneur is born and how he set his path of success. This can be done by setting up and conduct an interview with a local entrepreneur. Preparation of the interview Before taking an interview we first have to decide that from which industry we want to interrogate and investigate. Now this selection can be either from those industry with which we are not so familiar or can be a sector which we personally prefer the most. By selecting an individual from this way we will be able to understand this particular topic more clearly. If you cannot think of an firm, individual or industry according to the need, the we can go to Auraria Library and review the Denver Business Journal: Book of Lists, which is annual publication that provides contact information for top ranking companies in Denver, across a range of discipline. But it must be keep in mind that while selecting the data regarding this that the individual who will be choose for the interview must be the founder , co-founder or member of the original management team that started the company. The company must also still be in existence today. The choice of company or sector is completely upon the interviewer. It may be a high wealth company, a small company, a small lifestyle business, or a company that started small but is now experiencing significant growth. Steps for Interview 1. First step regarding this is to one has to contact with the desired company or interviewee as soon as possible. Entrepreneurs are busy person. So to get an appointment from a busy person can be a bit difficult job. If positive results are not coming in the first approach then have to try again and again. 2. When a contact can be fixed then proper introduction is a must. Then the purpose of the interview has to be explained. 3. Now a convenient meeting time and place have to be fixed for both the interviewer and the interviewee. The time must be set in such a way so that the interviewer can get time to prepare the question what is going to be asked in the interview. 4. While setting up the question one must research a basic about the individual or the company. The more one will study the productivity of the interview will be more fruitful. 5. A day or two before the interview ,call/mail must be done to the interviewer to confirm the meeting time and place. The Interview- The format of interview must be as follows 1) At the starting of the meeting the introduction of the interviewer must be clearly given to the entrepreneur. A request for the interviewee’s business card can be place at the beginning. 2) A recording can be done of the interview with the permission of the entrepreneur. This is so because lots of information can come within half an hour. So if any point is missed by the interviewer he/ she can get it through the recording. My selected Entrepreneur In my research I have selected The iTriage company in Denver of USA. The name of its founder is White House. The questions that I have asked to the entrepreneur of the company are as follows- When was the company started? How it got started? What was the reason for this establishment? What is the company’s strategy? How many employees are working here? The answers got from the entrepreneur are as follows: The company was started in 2008. It got started by two emergency physicians with a target of cost efficiency and more effective help to the consumer. Its reason for establishment was giving health care assistance to patient. The company in 2011 is acquired by another company name Aetna. Today iTriage is a part of Healthagen, an Aetna business which offers health and technology services. There are 90 employees over 600 hospitals and thousands of physicians and urgent care patients who all are working to help provide more information and better care to consumers. Outcome of the interview The outcome of the interview is iTriage is a consumer health care company founded in 2008 by two emergency medicine physicians. Over 9 million health care consumers have downloaded iTriage to locate nearby providers based on their symptoms, make appointments, store their personal health records , save medication refill reminders ,and learn about thousands of medication, diseases and procedures. In 2011 they got acquired by Aetna to improve their strategy and performance. It can be noticed from the interview that starting from 2011, the White House focused significantly on the innovation , growth and impact on the healthcare industry. Since then he became renowned for being a leader in effective health care industry change. Right now iTriage has approximately 90 employees, over 600 hospital partners and thousands of physicians and urgent care partners who all are working to help provide more information and better treatment to the consumer. Conclusion From the above interview it can be concluded that iTriage is performing remarkable in its own world. Like most of the company it was also being started in a very small form. But as time goes on its performance levels has increased day by day. Not only in the field of medical but iTriage has expanded its business just as if it’s a business house. But the most impressive part in iTtiage’s success is that it always remains in its focused which was to serve their customer with cost effectiveness and advance efficiency (iTriage 2013).
