Small Business Management My business plan concept is opening a small restaurant of halwa poori, which is one of the most popular Indian meals for breakfast and special occasions in India. Among the vast range of foreign cuisines, one that appeals to the taste buds of the European and the Western people happens to be the Indian cuisine. Although halwa poori is one of the most exotic and festive meals in India that are equally liked by the foreigners in India belonging to all age groups in general and specifically elders, yet there are certain exceptions.
For example, children particularly of the generation z may find halwa poori a very heavy meal for the breakfast. Likewise, because halwa pooris are deep fried and are high in cholesterol, they might not be suitable for consumption by the boomers and the greatest gen. My target market would be formed by generation Y and generation X since halwa poori is the most liked by young people. Having decided to choose generation X and Y as my main customers, I would have to do a lot of advertising on the Internet particularly on such social networking sites as Facebook and Twitter because the last three generations are to a large extent quite technology-savvy and find out about most of the new products via the internet.
Advertising online would provide me with the additional benefit of cost-effective advertising. In addition to that, online advertising has infinite viewership, so basically my restaurant would become popular in no time.
