The Shady Lake Inn formulated and implemented a Pet Policy, designed to address concerns about pets in the lodging facility for both pet owners and non-owners. The policy is dated February 12, 2010. This family-friendly lodging facility acknowledges the importance of pets to their owners, especially guests in the facility.

It also acknowledges that not every guest owns a pet. In this respect, it allows its guests to have pets within the premises, but under certain terms and conditions. This follows the concern that there are guests who prefer to have their vacations accompanied by their pets or in an environment where other guests have pets. On the other hand, the lodging facility does not dispute the opposite.
