Extract of sample "The Right to Hire and Fire Employees"

Potter, like any other employer, has the right to hire and fire employees, but in the provision of rules and regulations that govern and control the hiring and discharge of employees. When Aker is fired and the agency relationship between Potter and Aker is terminated, Potter does not inform the customers about this termination. Potter, who is the principal in this case, is charged with an obligation to inform the customers about the termination of an agency relationship between him and Aker. This information is usually issued in writing (Goldman &Sigismond 410).

Potter can avoid potential liability from the customers and Aker by issuing a written notice to all customers regarding the termination of the Potter-Aker agency relationship. Certified customer mail could be used in this pursuit. Failure to do so could leave Potter liable for any unauthorized acts that Aker may undertake even though he has already been terminated.
